The Moon 9-1-18.

You must have made a big crop, if you were using a 300mm lens. Here is one taken on the 31st with the 2000mm Nikon P900. Moon rising.

Thank you very much for your comment Norm, the reason for that is the sun is shining directly on that side of the moon, therefore you get less shadow.
