I just happened to have new material to add to this theme, as of yesterday. This is possibly the most ridiculous sequence I have caught on a trail camera, and I had a hard time narrowing the frames down to ten to share with you. As many of you already know, the tub is for water for my wildlife friends, and I have three of them in different spots. Each only holds about three gallons and I try to keep them supplied, though I've fallen down on the job lately (literally, and ended up with a fresh shoulder injury). The green cable locks the tub in place so that bears can't steal them, which they otherwise most certainly would. The cable does not, however, keep bears from dumping the water as they play in it.

Which was good news for this bobcat, who evidently needed a dry bath and its own tub time. After some frustrating bear experiences lately, including a camera that had been swiveled 180 degrees and another that had been literally ripped off a tree--a postage stamp sized hunk of the camera was still attached to the strap around the tree trunk with the rest of it on the ground--I needed some success, and a good laugh. These videos provided both. The whole time the bobcat was in the tub a squirrel scolded it hysterically from overhead, which explains the upward gazes. I'm not sure I've ever seen any cat look quite so pleased with itself.

I hope you enjoy these snapshots from the natural world as much as I do.

we had a surprise visit or an unwanted visit from this beautiful Bobcat. Mature male/ about 25-30 pounds. He was watching our dog that was on the porch with me. I always have camera ready when sitting outside. This is once in a life time shot. Canon EOS 60D, 70-300 canon lens.

You were very lucky to have capture this beautiful animal.

It's a nice image. Normally I would say to lose the wires but in this case, they frame the balloon and lead the eye. Nice job. What would you say?

Oh that after two tries it finally appeared. Lol.

Thank you so much Reuss. Your guy may not have had any Standardbred in him. A LOT of Walkers are born pacing and do so until you shoe them heavy in the back (barefoot on the front) and ride them that way for exactly 3 weeks. When you feel them change to a smooth gate, you keg shoe the back and put a light toe-weight on the front and ride down the road like you're sitting in a Rolls. Always worked for us.

They are all so beautiful. Number four is the best. I so sorry for your loss from the fire. It had to be so heartbreaking.

Even though you did not post a larger version to be downloaded, I worked with the one in the forum. I lowered the contract, increased the brightness, and lowered the green color. The treen now stands out more and the asphalt has a truer gray color. Is this what you were trying to show? Or why did you ppost the image? --Richard

Thanks for looking. I just posted this because I thought it was a beautiful bucolic setting.
