I would love some help with this I have done some wire wool photography and like what I got so I thought it would be nice if I could change the colour of the burnt wool ie from orange to blue/green/purple or any colour really. I have tried all the selection methods I know and am finding it impossible to make a selection I am sure it can be done but I just do not know how

Hello all, I have just treated myself to a Pocket Wizard system and would like some advice please. The story. I went out on a sunset til dawn shoot with some friends of mine and as I was setting up my gear to take some firework shots I was putting on my other treat ( I like to treat myself ) also a brand spanking new wireless remote when there right beside me I hear my mate say why don,t you use your Pocket Wizards for that well now there,s a thing I said I did not know they did that.So my mate being one of those sometimes right sometimes wrong kind of guys (He didn,t hear that did he) I thought I would seek knowledge from people who know hopefully that is you. So my question is can I use my Wizards as a wireless remote.......... I have a Mini TT1 and two Flex TT5,s............ If this is possible can you tell me how THANKYOU PS no flash involved at all.

I had this problem and got in touch with canon the cost to send it to them was gangsterish but the guy I spoke to was great he suggested that while pressing the button, very gently with your thumb nail lever the flash up.This works.I also gave it a very small squirt of WD40 quickly wiping away any excess.I hope this helps.

Hello all I am having problems generating camera profiles for Infrared images using Adobe dng profile editor. My process is to open a dng image in ACR slide the temperature slider all the way to the left then exit ACR open the editor open the same image as in ACR go to color matrices slide temp all the way to the left again
then go to options and name the profile then under the file menu to export the profile.I get the profile exported message then I open the image in ACR again which has the slider all the way to the left I scroll to camera calibration click the new profile which has an emerald green color cast plus when I go to the basic panel the temp slider is still all the way left allowing no further adjustment.
Can anyone help I have added a profile image described as Adobe camera profile from Salty

Hi Foggy, I would suggest that you get a really cheap UV/Skylight filter just to protect your lens glass and remove it when shooting treat it like a lens cap.I personally practice a lot and refresh my memory about taking shots that I don,t take that often and then delete them so doing this quality doesn,t matter.A lens with no protection now thats scarry.

I have just been outside testing the theory that the weight of a grip makes for sharper images and discovered something else.
As it is winter the sun is very low in the sky so after a couple of test shots in portrait mode I thought I would take a couple in landscape well I could,nt because of the sun. When I step outside the sun is full in my face so I took shots to my left at an apple tree (to test the sharpness)in portrait no problem but in landscape
the sun was,nt shaded by the extra size of the camera and my hand in that position. I just thought I would share that with you all

I have only run out of power once that,s when I first started photography and did not know the importance of extra batteries.
I would need a lot more than a grip to look cool and it does annoy me when thoughtless people walk into the shot so there,s a good reason but another is time lapse,I use a 5d mk2 with a canon grip but only for time lapse. For me who is getting on a bit it,s to heavy but I think more use them than don,t for what ever reason
