I like it too! It could use a little tweaking as far as exposure is concerned. I wouldn't crop it all! I think all the information in the picture is drawing attention to the single flower... That's my take. Cheers!
Is that a word?
Anyway, I'd like to invite critiques and other comments on this photo. I enjoy doing portraits and my granddaughter happens to be ;) my fav subject
rpavich: I thought of that when I was taking it through Lightroom and I just couldn't make up my mind whether or I should fill the frame. Well, my friend, your suggestion did it for me. I think you're right and I'll rework the pic later today. I, too, think it'll come out better. By the way, shot very quickly with an 11-24 lens! Thanks!
Thank you for the compliment!! I am planning to put up some shots (portraits) of my granddaughter and am curious as to what you think of those!
Thanks much for putting up the original. You were absolutely right: the people in the shot would've been a distraction. Both versions are really nice shots, great color and you kept the pic close to the original in your editing. Very nice job!!
That's what happened indeed ;) with the ones I bought!
If you were to take a look at my Flickr page (crossroads photography - at one point I thought I'd start a business; it's not a commercial page), you'll find a couple of shots I took outside and they may fit what you are thinking of with the theme you cited. Cheers, Jan!
I took this shot while grocery shopping.
I would like to see the unedited picture, especially to see what you cropped out this really nice shot! I have a similar issue with a pic I took a while ago and will put online here (I'm very new here) and I might just try to use Picnik to edit the unknown interlopers ;) out as well!! Your picture is beautiful!
