Well, I never knew him. He died before I was born. But I did live in Greenwich Village and there were people there, mostly artists, who would talk about his work. When I think about what he did with the equipment that he had back then, it's amazing that he ever took a picture... In any case, I can learn from him, as well as others, and carry on....

Lewis W Hine was largely responsible for the child labor laws. He photographed the children working in the factories. Also, the Empire State building as it was being built. If you google the name, there are many references to his work. I'll put a few things up soon...

Thanks

Right, I am the grandson of Lewis W. Hine. As such, that and $5.00 gets me a frapachino @ Starbucks. And I'm a celebrity in the college photo lab. After that, like everyone else, I have to work at it to make the pictures. So, I will put links to some of my work as I go along, and you can tell me what you think. I was in sales for a number of years, so rejection is not any big deal to me. So, tell me what you think... I need to learn.

http://www.kodakgallery.com/photo-books/c-C830001 This is the link to Kodak where you can store pics and make books. Will be very convenient for me as I can make an individual book for say, a model, and she can reference her portfolio anywhere. And all the software is already done, so I can put up a simple website and just have links to the books.... Thank you Kodak!!
