Linda, Thanks for these photos. Brings back some memories of my days at Ft. Lewis and the Tacoma/Seattle area many, many years ago. Hiked up the mountain once. BTW - looks like an exceptional weather day when you took the photos.

Thanks for posting this site.
We saw the Rockwell exhibit in DC a couple years ago.
It was fantastic. Rockwell used his friends often to "play the parts" and then would take a photo before he started to paint the scene. We've been to the Mass. site also. Perfect to visit this time of the year.

Recently toured Signal Corp Museum at Ft Gordon, GA. Those of you who like me spent time there in the 60s will not recognize the place. wooden barracks are gone so too I'll assume is the need to keep the fire going through the night. Anyway here's what they exhibit for fellow Vientnam signal members.

Thanks for this post. A lot of memories (not all good) but many of them are unique. The Georgia red clay. Went from there to Ft. Monmouth, then Ft. Lewis,Wa. , then to the Mekong Delta (Adv Tm #51) Remember the movie theater in Augusta too -"good" movies!!! And there was the Escape & Evasion course. Found out (mistakenly) first hand why the swamp was "off limits". And yes, the MP school - learned a little from a guy who was in that school and have showed some cops and construction workers how to "pointedly" direct traffic. I think that the MP school is in Ft. Leonard Wood now. Would love to pay a visit to the Museum. Dave

Just south of the USS Little Rock. "macv" - is that Military Assistance Command Vietnam?

Yes - Tour of duty 1969-70 in the south Delta.

The photo I was asking about was the Buffalo skyline with
City Hall on the left and HSBC on the right. Looks like
you were in Ft. Erie or on a boat or possibly the breakwall.

Nice shots. Did the bird ever calm down?

How's the Portland Head Lighthouse doing these days?
Last October while taking a shot of it, tripped on some broken concrete and broke my wrist. Saved the camera with my other hand. I will go back some day.

Nice shots.
What a great weather day in WNY yesterday.
Where were the Weather Channel people?

What was your location when you took the last shot with
the HSBC center in it?

Great shots. Got a couple photos when we visited AK a couple years ago but nothing near the quality of yours.
Question - do Eagles ever smile? Maybe it's just their nature!

I don't know that I would like to risk my equipment this way!

Thanks for posting this site. I'm 15 minutes from the Falls and these are views you can't get from standing on Goat Island at the Falls. Interesting as to how few people there were at the time they shot this.

[quote=wISOr]Friday this week we will be headed to Alaska, 2 days later hopefully chasing Blue Whales in Juneau, and the next day the train ride in Skagway.

We were there 3 years ago in July. I had a Nikon D-80 and a sigma 70-300 zoom. Took 1600 shots. We went on the Capt. Larry's whale watch out of Juneau. Fantastic. Weather for us was "iffy" with some rain now and then so bring some camera weather protection gear just in case. Skagway RR was really great too. Platform between the rail cars is a good place to shoot from but they get crowded so pick your position early in the ride. Have fum. We'd love to return there some day.

Good shots Nana.
In your first photo, very top right hand corner shows
the mist from the Horseshoe Falls.
Hope you can re-visit the area again.
