Reminds of a song by Rod Stewart. The lyrics included "some guys have all the luck."

Enjoy your new toy.

I'm from New England, in the days we skied it was mostly in Maine. When I heard the name Abe's of Maine it gave me a warm feeling like a small town, honest and down-to-earth dealer. Then I read about Abe's here, which changed things in a hurry, I would never do business with them. I use B&H or Hunt's Photo locally.

LOL - the market, rather than UHH, says people prefer Canon digital cameras at a rate of 4.7 Canons to every 2.2 Sony to 1.8 Nikon.

But certainly, just reading the UHH squawk box, one would think the numbers are 8 Nikons to 1 each of Sony and Canon.

I don't have Costco so I looked at Sams Club. I don't see that they have any mounting for the back.

I'm not sure it matters being near Costco, I remember a few years ago I may have ordered from them and was not a member. I'm older now and I don't remember for sure but it's worth checking out.

I have a Nikon D7100 and an iPhone 14 Pro. I use both for photos. On a recent Mediterranean vacation with stops in Israel, Greece, Cypress, Crete, Turkey and Rome, I used both for the same subjects, and without looking at the file names, it's not obvious which photos were taken with the iPhone. I find the D7100 to be easier to compose photos, especially when it's bright outside, washing out the iPhone screen. One nice thing about the iPhone is that the photo information includes where the shot was taken.

Although I did not go on a vacation, I find the shots with my iPhone14 ProMax and Canon r6 are sometimes hard to tell apart.

MacBook Air M1 with 16GB memory and 1TB storage. I own that model and rave about it. It was $1400 in the Apple Refurbished Store online. Same as new, including same warranty.

Whatever you do, consider that 16GB and 1TB is reasonable for an Apple Silicon Mac.

I export 16MP raw files to JPEGs from Lightroom Classic in under one second each. I use Photoshop neural filters, which take seconds to process on this machine using the M1 16-core Neural Engine.

Keep the internal SSD less than half full and the system will run at top speed. MacOS uses virtual memory when needed, and that requires empty drive space. It’s super fast because the storage is stacked in a RAID 0 array.

The air is fanless and gets warm only when doing extended sessions of still or video file exports.

If you need more than this, you’re probably processing HUGE files or lengthy 4K videos on a regular basis.

What Burkphoto said. I've got the MacBook Air 16 gig and 1 TB.

Mark, Happy Thanksgiving! That photo brings back memories of the family photos we used to take back then. Sad part is my family who were in the photos have now passed. Nevertheless you took me on a nice trip to the past especially since we spent some Thanksgivings in Dumont, NJ that's in Bergen County........those were the days.
