Walked up on this Loon sleeping not far from home. Such a beautiful bird.
I had only a fraction of a second to snap the little guy with the nut in his beak.
The Cardinal was posing and looking into the lens. Love the country.

I've been working hard lately on all the basics of using my D7100 and various lenses. For most of these I used a Tamron 70-200. I've done some cropping and some other lighting adjustments. I'm open for any positive or constructive comments.

I know focus is so very important. When I take a picture, ex wildlife, I’m disappointed when I zoom in on the photo afterwardsand it don’t seem to be as “in focus, as I first thought. Am I being to critical? How do professionals view this topic. How can I do a better focus job ?
I’m a novice using a D7100 and a 18-105 or a 70-200
