Thanks that is very helpful
Thanks this info is really good
I use Lightroom and I set the export function to a 5x7. I then uploaded it to Costco Photofinishing and the photos still needed to be cropped. I save the JPEG at a high resolution. Is there anything I should be doing so that what I send to a photo-finisher will be printed the way I have saved the picture without further cropping? Also, does anyone have advise on how to upload a photo so the final print has the same look as on my PC?

The cheapest way is to ask your wife/girlfriend if she has a sling bag that she doesn't use anymore. I know my wife has a number of black nylon bags that I may use in the future.

Fantastic photos - thanks for the info
Again, thanks to everyone for the great advise.
Thanks everyone - good ideas. Can you recommend a hotel or lodge to stay
I would like to take a vacation to the Grand Canyon this year. Does anyone have any recommendations on photo tours?
I buy most of my cameras online at the stores mentioned below but I have been a amateur photographer for 20 years. If you have not used a DSLR in the past it may be a good idea to buy the camera at a reputable photo store (not big box stores) so they can explain the camera and may have some courses to help you to better understand your camera.
Good Luck
I use Shutterfly and have two sites (family and general photography). I don't believe there is any limit other than using Shutterfly periodically for photo books or photo processing.
I bought a Sigma lens with the similar a range and it was much less than the Tamron lens and I think as good of quality. It has become my basic lens on almost all the shoots.
You had to buy Lightroom after March 4 2012 to get the free upgrade. It was worth the time to find out
Has anyone used Lightroom 4. I have 3 and was wondering if it is worth the money to get the new version.
