Delighted to be up and away with my first request. This forum seems like a very useful place.
So that's the flattery out of the way!!
I'm 95% certain that the next camera for me is a Nikon D750. To replace a very tired Panasonic DMC-FZ8.
Main uses will be landscape and spontaneous outside wildlife shots and pictures of the dogs in the house; we have six here in Oregon, down from 12 when we first moved here.
I want a supplier that will allow me to check that the camera is a comfortable fit in the hand, and I don't imagine it won't be, but if I don't find it comfortable will allow me to return it for a full refund within a few days.
Also should I go for the Nikon 24-120 mm VR lens to get me started?
Many thanks in advance,
PB
OK, I may have jumped the gun. For when I was speaking with Nikon asking if I might try it first, they told me that once the box was opened it could not be returned unless it was faulty.
Let me start a new topic seeking recommendations for online dealers!
Many thanks.
Good day good people. I'm a newbie to the forum but liking what I am reading.
Wanted to add the following to this thread. That is that I am 95% certain about buying myself a D750. But I am being cautioned not to do so before holding one in my hand. But none of the stores within reach of where we live (Merlin, Southern Oregon) stock Nikons. If I buy online and find it doesn't 'fit' I can't return it.
I can't be the first one with this issue??
