Thank you for your comments on my photos. The fire came within about 500 feet of my place but by a miracle it was stopped before it got to it. A scary couple of days.

Its a gray fox. Usually dens by my house with its mate. Haven't seen them since the fire. Hope they return.

I was surprised they turned out as good as they did. Luckily the pool of water was deep enough to fill the bucket. Otherwise it probably would have been a 10 to 15 minute round trip to the closest lake. Fire came within 500 feet of my place before it was put out. My hats off to the firemen and Star Flight crew.
