Good ones, so nice to see them when they are young.
Wonderful, such a beauty and looks so contented, almost smiling.
A number of years ago on a cold winters day with the wind whipping the snow around off the lake I was reading in the living room window. I got the feeling I was being watched. I was right, this guy was about 10 feet away standing on a snow drift looking at me through the picture window.
Nice series but I'm with you. I can wait for winter. Sadly I put the plow on the truck just yesterday to be sure its serviced and working well before the season starts.
Nice shot, such a lovely fellow
Number 3 is a definite WOW !!!
Great shot. I love these little guys. We finally have them back this year. It took 4 years after the neighbor with the killer cat moved away for the population to recover but they are back and have given us lots of joy and entertainment this summer.
Ive been shooting this old unoccupied farm house every fall for years.
This summer I had a pair of fox kit orphans I called "the twins" show up in early July. They took up residence in an abandoned fox den on my property. When I first saw them out my office window I turned on my security cameras and overnight it became evident they were without an adult to look after them. However I noticed they knew how to hunt. They were so small I decided to help them out a bit with some high quality food but not enough to make them dependent on me and we maintained a healthy respect and wariness of each other over the summer. I am pleased that they both grew into healthy adult foxes. This was the last shot I took of the two of them together in late September. Sadly the next morning I saw a dead fox on the main road about three fields and across a swamp away and just knew it was one of mine. Only one was seen after that and is still seen nightly.
Just a quick hello as an introduction. I live in central Ontario Canada and have been shooting since the early 70's. I just retired last year and hope to get more time out with the cameras soon. I am a hobby photographer and shoot what interests me, particularly wildlife and nature if they cooperate. :) I currently use P&S and entry level DSLR's both Nikon and Canon which serve my current needs. I look forward to sharing some images and seeing others contributions on this forum.
