I've had the same issue with different accessories. The printer, or whatever, will appear in readiness and will even copy when that function is used, but otherwise will not do it's job.
Often it is a matter of your computer not recognizing the printer. simply turn them both off for a few minutes. Turn on the printer and allow to warm up and then turn on your computer and usually the computer will recognize and install the drivers for the printer and life is again good.
At other times you must uninstall the printer drivers and reinstall as you would with a new computer. Life can be good again.
I know from experience through a similar incident with a monitor. Monitor would flash "No Input" and turn off. Computer was on and ready. When connected to another monitor everything was fine. I purchased a new monitor, last ditch effort followed the above instructions of turning everything off and shazam! the old monitor worked. I kept the extra monitor for any potential emergency, so life was good again.
Just dabble with computers and hope this may help/explain what occurred.

I noticed the softness as well. I shot as close as I could approach and then cropped (Canon 55-250). I am still learning Lightroom and my adjustments are difficult for me to finesse.
Another shot of the Heron can be found
http://www.flickr.com/photos/larrywilk/ with different saturation. I felt it was too dark.
Thanks so very much for the input.

Thanks, both were cropped before upload.
Some samples of the photos I've been taking with mostly a Canon XTi and several lenses. Please be gentle, but honest as to improvement I can make.
