Yes VietVet, you're right! The girls and their delightful expressions are the center of interest; anything more compromises that most important factor.
I have the Canon i9900 printer, predecessor of the 9500, which does very well up to 13x19 prints on Inkpress Luster and Red River UltraPro Satin. I find these finishes to be much more desirable than gloss, especially for people pix and landscapes.
Yep, I most often carry two cameras for the same reason as you and with the same double strap arrangement as yours. It's convenient, readily accessible and easy on my shoulders, and I get better results with two shorter zooms than with one long one.
Oh, the other most important factor in getting great images of motion is PATIENCE! Yep, I've got the knowledge, skill, equipment and the critical eye, but I lack that one important ingredient - PERSISTENCE. Now tell me, how long did you have to wait, and how many shots did you take to get that iconic picture?
I have the same camera and the Canon 100-400 lens. Now all I've got to do is find an osprey flying with his meal of the day. Yeah, then what; if all goes like in the past, he'll drop his prey and turn away just as I get ready to shoot. That one of yours is a once in a lifetime shot!
What a great capture, the right angle, lighting and especially the action - nothing short of amazing. What about disclosing the FL, aperture and shutter speed?
Hear, hear, I've dealt with B&H even when they had the small store down town 20 years ago, and my sentiments are the same as all the positives herein.
I like the first two and the last two best. The soft lighting and focus along with the pensive expression are winners. Having a lovely model with fine sculptured features didn't hurt!
Good selection and isolation of subjects. Also good composition, exposure, focus and selective depth of field.
Great dramatic lighting, focus and exposure, a real attention getter!
Amazing - what creativity, control, coordination and dexterity!
Great stuff, especially the extreme close ups. Exceptional control of exposure and depth of field - very well done.
That first one is exceptional, especially the angle at which it's taken, which emphasizes the parental relationship.
Thanks bigmac, it had to be something like that platform
otherwise how would you ever get so close. Of course whether it's a pontoon boat or some other convenience, nothing compares to the skill of the photographer, with patience, the right lighting and the best of all - timing!
bigmac, truly amazing captures, certainly must have taken a lot of planning, care and patience. I'd like to know what equipment you used.
