I have the earlier version and was told not to use it on my D800. I was not aware that it could be modified. Who does that?
I don't think some of these older lenses fit modern digital cameras and may actually cause damage. I could be wrong though
I have a new LG OLED TV. Cant watch anything else
I have an 8 year old expensive Eizo monitor and relatively cheap spyder calibration device. My last 50 prints have been surprisingly spot on re color saturation and density
I have been using the 800 for some time with filter in place. While I have no direct comparison I am ecstatic with my 17 by 22 inch prints. Don't have a reason to upgrade as of yet. Perhaps the 820 or whatever is will give me cause
I think you are correct. I would continue to print at home regardless of the cost if the prints are to my liking. Seeing the process from start to finish is where it's at for me.
Couldn't agree more. Priceless
I'm getting great satisfaction from printing on an epson 800 printer. I never really understood sharpening and other Lightroom sliders until I started making my own 17 by 22 inch prints. My only limitation now is wall space
I am pleased with the 17 by 22 inch prints I can make with my Nikon V1 in good light. V2 or 3 most likely are better.
XT 2 might have an edge but I am making gorgeous 16 by 20 prints from a modest X Pro 1
Also Midtown and 47th st photo. Back in the day BH was considered a rogue dealer. Purchases were lowered to the sales floor in baskets on clotheslines. No conveyor belts.
Olden, Camera Barn, Spiratone and the old Willoughby's. those were camera stores
