A friend goes to Crex once in a while, I haven't been there yet.
We have the Trempealeau Refuge just across the river in Wisconsin. I saw some ducks there yesterday that I didn't recognize and they were too far away to photograph.

These photos look too nice to almost not be real.
I drove from Southeast Minnesota to Fairbanks and then down to Soldotna and Seward in early April of this year. There were only a few spots where it wasn't blacktop. Each of those was only a few hundred feet long.
The attached picture is what I drove.

I have been following UHH for months and have enjoyed all the posts and photos. I have also gotten much valuable information. Following UHH has cost me money, but it hasn't cost me my marriage yet.
I have a Nikon D5100 with two kit lenses but since reading UHH I added the Sigma 150-500, Manfrotto carbon fiber tripod, and Beilke gimbal head. This site creates addictions.
Before registering I emailed MT Shooter with some questions and as some know, he is a great help. Thank you to him and all the others for the help you give us.
