Well, I am not quite in that long, but I usually visit every day. So many of the captures posted make me envious.☺️

Excellent work!
Thank you. But it is a good thing that there wa no one around to get a shot of me laying on the patio trying to get these shots.😀

Thank you Pat. The butterflies are starting to leave my stomach now.😊
Thank you Linda. With all the amazing photos from everyone, I have been hesitant to upload.
Well since I joined a few months back I had been looking for something that I considered worth sharing. I was able to catch this little fella before he sped off into the sunset. Hope you all enjoy my first photo post. :D

I have a very old picture of my brother and I when we were little. It used to be a professional color portrait, but now is faded to almost sepia. My mother had it in a collage frame but not in the sun. It is the only picture I have like it.
I scanned it and opened it in Photoshop, but nothing I did helped the photo. I don't want to send it out to a "lab" because I would be upset if something happened to it. My brother passed away 20 years ago and my mom has dementia. I would dearly love to print a good copy of this photo for her. It was her favorite picture of us.

Check out VueScan at http://www.hamrick.com. The software supports over 2500 flatbed and film scanners. It does a great job of correcting aging/fading and you can try it for free.
Hello all, thought I would finally check in. I have been following UHH for a little while and finally registered recently.
Don't really want to get into the "My dog is bigger than your dog" debates. But I have settled into the Canon camp after a long trek.
I have been in and out of amateur photography since I was a teen. My first camera was a Brownie 127, I got into SLR's while I was in the service (Vivitar 7s), then I moved to Chinon CE-3 Memotron, first digital was a Kodak (mistake), then Minolta 7D until Minolta bailed from the digital camera market. Moved over to Canon (30D) which was Replaced with a 7D. I recently added the 5D Mk III to my bag also.
My main interest is wildlife, nature and landscape. Hopefully I might even get a lucky shot once I a while.
