I was trying to be helpful. As you reveal more details, the cause and possible misunderstanding becomes more obvious. Oh well, have fun doing what you want to do.

Here's a disinterested 3rd party that comes-down on my side of the analysis of using LR: https://youtu.be/4DwAre6HrZw . Hopefully, 8-minutes of your life will help to bring IR into your LR workflow.

Ok, maybe I jumped a bit quick there... I watched this video and several others which followed on. However, where they all show "Camera Calibration" on the menu, I only have "Calibration", and there is nowhere to select a custom profile. I actually had downloaded the DNG program previously, presumably back when I was banging my head against this wall the first time. Just to make sure, I even upgraded to the latest version of LR, but still no camera calibration...

As I recall (and my memory is not great...) I had downloaded the photos, and did the blue/red channel swap in PS. However, when loaded into LR, they reverted to the heavy red cast... I was never able to get past that. It's been a couple of years since I tried, as there didn't seem to be much point.

Unless you need to update the WB of a RAW file to some value outside the range of of 2000K to 50,000K, that comment about not being able to use LR on a IR RAW file is nonsense. We weren't on the phone with you nor saw the problem, but explanation details at this point don't meet the sniff test.

Well, I don't know who you are, or who you work for. I spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with the company who had converted my camera. The person I was dealing with kept reiterating that it was not possible to process IR photos in LR. I tried converting the WB in PS first, but when I loaded the photos into LR, they reverted to a horrible red cast.

You can believe this or not, but this is what happened. Frankly, your agreement is irrelevant to me.

I had the same problem with LR. Regardless of how WB was set, or how I downloaded the images, when I loaded them into LR, everything was red, to a point *way* past the ability of the program to correct it. I spent a lot of time on the phone with the company who had converted my camera, only to finally be told that you cannot use LR with IR images... Seeing that all my processing starts with LR, that kinda killed IR for me.

It would have been nice to know that up front...

I stopped doing reviews. I would do a simple review of a small 'object', and the site wouldn't accept it because it wasn't long enough. I put in a comment that it made no sense insisting on a minimum number of characters, but they never replied.

Seperate thing.

Do you have an Android cell phone? Mine is a Samsung, has a bunch of Google stuff on it (most came with it and I don't use them and wish I could get rid of them, some you can't) and is with Verizon. I can't remember the last time a day went by without something, update, security patch etc etc. coming from one or more of them - Android, Samsung, Google, Verizon or other companies whose apps are on my phone somewhere.
All I wanted was a phone!?!?!?!?!

I could use help from an Android expert, if one is reading... I am getting alerts saying that my phone is running out of storage space. Thing is, I have a 64GB card in there which is almost empty! I cannot find a way to get things to load or move to the card... A few apps have a setting which lets you do that, but most do not...

I also just wanted a phone, although the camera can be useful in case of an accident or something. I have never, and never will, try to watch movies, or listen to music on my phone. The system complains a lot if you try to remove the built-in apps for this stuff...

Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread...

Yeah, and I got a heap of grief for carrying one of those to school for my lessons every week. But *dancing*???? Wouldn't have had the guts to do that...

I was raised on Tyneside, in the 50s and 60s, and got enough stick for playing in an orchestra. I wouldn't have had the guts (or the aptitude!) to take dance lessons... This is a photo of me and my older brother at an airshow in 1960, at RAF Middleton-St-George, now Teeside Airport.

I have tried searching on this topic, but it throws up hundreds of messages which don't seem to be relevant at all. The question also involves form filling and login control.

I have been using RoboForm for *many* years, with no real issues. Then they released a new version... This version requires the setting of a master password, which (despite claims to the contrary!) has to be entered every time I want to access a login. Just to be even more of a pain, they want to control just how long/random this master password is... The reason for using the program is that I can't remember passwords, so this kinda defeats itself. I live alone, and if some stranger has access to my PC, I have a lot more to worry about than them figuring out my passwords! I could write it on a sticky note posted on the monitor, but doesn't that seem kind-of pointless?

I ignored their pleas to upgrade for a couple of years, but the old version doesn't run with Edge, and I am having issues with IE not being accepted for some sites. Now, remember that I have *hundreds* of sites/logins stored in this thing.

I decided to bite the bullet, and upgrade, despite my misgivings. So, I created a master password in the old version, and ran the upgrade. It prompts me for the master password, which I copy&paste into the field, to be told that it is not correct. I didn't mistype it, it was copied from the initial installation into the old program!

Tech support are being totally useless. I have been told to "sync it to another account", but I only have one account. I tried creating a new account, but when I give it my email address, it says that this is already in use... I ***** know it's in use, it's ME! When I sent a message about this, they said use *this* link to delete it, and then upgrade it on my computer... Is this not what I have been trying to do?

Despite the horrendous size of the task, I am considering changing to a new program. I have heard of LastPass, and LogMeIn, but have no knowledge of either of these. So, I decided to throw myself on the mercy of UHH and ask for recommendations.

Thank you for sticking with this long enough to read it. If you *didn't* then please don't send a reply saying I should replace my PC, or change to Nikon, or anything else irrelevant. There is a huge amount of knowledge on this site, but a ton of people who reply without reading the question first...

Thanks in advance...

Perfect piece for that kind of impromptu performance! They should follow it with the "Farewell Symphony", where everyone just gradually walks away...

I read your message before I clicked on the link. Unfortunately, I read it as "Very talented toe", so I was waiting for a spectacular finish!

I like it - and it's even the right way up!

I came across the pond in May of 1990, and started working on a contract in San Antonio. When the 4th came around, I really didn't know *how* I was supposed to feel about it. I hadn't had time to make many friends, so I went off on my own to SeaWorld.

Imagine my surprise when the tannoy system started playing God Save the Queen!

I tried putting 64GB in mine. It worked, but only up to 32GB... Took me a while to figure out why it would suddenly stop mid-track and go back to the beginning!
