Cincinnati has a beautiful skyline. It doesn't appear that you live near here. This was shot from the southeast side. Did you go to Devou Park (southwest side)? Did you get to see anything else?

Used to live on Race street. That was 60 years ago. Didn't take any pics there this trip. Couldn't even find Coney Island this time through. What was it Thomas Wolfe said???

I just gotta know, what camera, lens, f/, mm, etc. I am just dipping my toe in the IR pond with a Canon PowerShot G6 modded to full spectrum using variety of 720,850, and 950 Neewer filters. Can I get the clarity your getting with my cheap rig?

OK. By definition a Macro lens is Prime and the image on the sensor is the same size as the object. On an APS-C crop sensor, that ain't very big.
So, why is my Tamron 28-300 and my Sony 75-300 labeled as "Macro"? That has always baffled me.
I appreciate your feedback.

I just found an old Konica FS-1 camera and a whole bag of Tamron adapter lenses, including a GIANT telephoto that was never used. Is there any interest, anywhere, for these items? I don't have any idea what they are worth or if anyone still has an interest but I hate to see them just 'hang out' wasting away. I have moved on to digital and don't want to go back but would like to find someone who still has an interest in film. This was an excellent camera and all the lens made it fun. If anyone is interested, I can provide a list of all the lens that go with it.
There is somewhat of a time constraint.

Hi there, I'm interested in playing with vintage cameras just for the fun of it. I have an old Kodak Retina 1a and a Minolta HiMatic 7s that I play with. These are fixed lens cameras. I could have an interest in playing with a system consisting of multiple lenses. I'm on a social security budget so I don't know if this might be out of range for me financially. What are the Tamron adapter lenses? Is that something to adapt like a Nikon lens to the Konica? Or are they some kind of Tamron lens that has an adapter to fit the Konica? I have an old Minolta 7000 that has no lens. I'd love to pick up a good lens for that. I only paid $10 the the 7000. My direct e-mail is jmccl@yahoo.com. I only get daily summary from UHH.

Am enjoying semi-retirement here in Tampa, FL. After over thirty years earning $$$ doing photography part time using Nikon SLR, and Mamiya medium format cameras, have no plans to do photography full time.

However, have and am enjoying using my Nikon DSLR cameras. So if someone in this area requires an assistant photographer on your "shoot" for pay, I'm available. Just PM me.

Are you aware of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts here in Tampa? www.fmopa.org There is a group associated with the museum (The Photo League of FMoPA) which meets monthly that might be of interest to you.

Recently captured this barn using the in-camera HDR function in my Sony A77.

A feature that sold me on my A550 was the in camera HDR. Never used it. Thanks for reminding me it was there. I gotta give it a go some day, assuming I remember past clicking on "Send".

You obviously have not yet lived long enough to come to the realization that there is NO "changing of the femine mind" - unless of course they initiate the change! ! !

I picked up a Retina 1a a few months back - no meter - no focus prism - just using my guess for focus distance, shutter and f/stop based on sunny 16. Here's a result of my first day out. It was fun to use my instincts for a change and not rely on electronics.
