I like your '34 Plymouth avitar. Got any more pics of it? Car guy to car guy. I have my first car in the basement. Hoping to clean things out this summer and get started on it. I finally, totally retired December 30th.

My apologies. After I responded I moved the screen on my old laptop and the colors popped. This morning on my smarter than me phone, the colors and saturation look dead on. Throw my first response out. Keep doing what you're doing.

Great photos!
The sad part is that in a few years setting out in the elements there will be nothing left of them.

I was sitting on my couch one day playing with my DSLR camera and all it settings and wondering how to get a good understanding of it all. I looked up at the ceiling fan. It dawned on me that it would be a good test subject. I shot frame after frame in shutter priority from 1 second to 1/8000. Then I did the same thing in apature priority. Then I repeated changing the ISO. It sounds really simple, but if you look closely you can learn a lot about your camera. Try it.

If you ever get to Gatlinberg, Tn, go out to the artists colony, to Earlywine Pottery. Check out the photos inside (and the Pottery). His daughter has the magic of timing the shot that I know you would appreciate.

WOW!!! I have to wonder how many frames you shot to get to this one. But the real magic was in the thought process to photograph this flower at night. I bow to you.

I'm not a professional. Did you use the landscape setting on your camera? Photo #4 looks right on! The other ones look a little overexposed or could use a little color saturation to bring out the greens. The framing of the shots are good. I would be interested in the drive entrance to this house. You have your time, travel to and from the site, and equipment, plus any printing and editing to consider in your $ consideration. Good luck!!!

My original Case Logic camera bag is bulging at the seams and I need to upgrade.
Right now I have a Canon EOS Rebel XSi, EFS 10-18 Zoom, 18-55 Zoom, EFS 70-300 Zoom, assorted filters, SD cards, batteries, lens hoods, strap, battery chargers, and a Canon SX710HS (What an amazing little brut!). I would like to ad a flash or two, maybe some other lenses, and a Canon 80D.
I have been on line looking at bags for a month. I'm cross-eyed. Forget suggesting my local camera shop. I can't find a camera shop in Pittsburgh, let alone Wheeling, West Virginia. Not even a good department in a store. Walmart doesn't count.
I like the way my Case Logic is constructed. I have also been considering G-raphy, USA Gear, Altura G---, Neewer, Lowpro, and Canon. For every 10 people who OK and praise a case there is always one who hates it.
I was just considering trying to find an on-line help board when Ugly Hedgehog popped up on my phone this morning. I'm hoping all you cameraphiles can help point me to a new backpack style bag that is configurable to my equipment and has lots of little pockets for the little stuff and is big enough for future equipment. Thanks in advance. And if there is a series of earlier answers to this question, point me there. Thanx!

OK, I'm new to all this message board stuff. Maybe I put my first reply in the wrong place. I was attempting to reply to vininnj2u as to what I would do on a month long photo shoot. I just got an email back already about using CDs. So I'm confused. But I will try again.
My second digital camera was a Canon EOS Rebel XSi. Thirty days later I went to the Dayton Air Force Museum for two days. Over 1000 photos later I had gone from fully Automatic to fully Manual to get any photos of the planes in the all black hanger under strong spotlights and inside the space capsules encased in light reflecting sheets of formed clear plastic. Those photos now reside on two laptops and the original SD Cards.
Before I head out on vacation, I stock up on SD cards for my Canons (now totaling 4 digitals). If I fill one up or want to keep like photos seperate, I use a new SD card. I keep the cards either in my camara case, or an SD card case I keep elsewhere. If by chance I would fill all my cards, WalMart is never too far away.
When I get home, I download all my pictures to my laptop, label and store the SD cards (full or not) as back ups. After 33 years of teaching school and 10 years selling John Deere Parts, I've learned the value of back ups. I have been considering using a 100meg external drive, or memory sticks as an additional back up.
Being a rather private person, I'm not inclinded to store anything on the cloud or turn everything loose on the airways.
By the way, I did try burning photos onto CD. Not for me.

SD cards are my backups. They are light and small to carry. Change them out when ever necessary. Down load everything when you get home. I never erase nor re-format mine. They are my back ups.
