Thanx for this post. I was 7 when these were taken and remember the Big Bad Bruins like it was yesterday. I loved going to the gaaaahden to see them play. Ive met Bobby Orr 3 times. He is a great guy, as well as, in my opinion, the best defenseman who ever laced up a pair of skates.
Gary

Time sure does fly by. Ones memories will always be kept in a photograph. When you're in the field photographing and say. Should I take that photograph? YES you should. You can only bring back that memory, if you have that photo to show. THANKS, Gary! AP

Always have FUN photographing. Every photograph you make is a challenge. Am I using the right lens ? The correct lens is when you see the composition made.

All these photos made were with my Olympus OMD-M1 and 12-40mm f2.8 lens.
They were all made at 40mm = 80mm on 35mm film camera. Exposures were all at f5.6. Shutter-speed was as follows: photo 1 - 200 sec, photo 2 -400 sec, photo 3 - 320 sec. HOW'S THAT ?

Digital photography is wonderful. And, I'm still learning. CIAO, AP

When we were in Boston Common you can relax sit on benches talk eat lunch and just FEEL-HAPPY as can be.

The young ones would run around laugh and be excited while having fun. The squirrels however, love to by fed! So here we go! CIAO, AP

I like your attitude. I always try to take as good a picture as I can; but I'd rather take a snapshot that really does not blow up my skirt then not take a picture at all. BTW, I like your photos very much.

ebrunner, nice response, THANK YOU! It's great when a image catches ones attention. It tells me to continue further. AP

I had a magic eye for SPORTS Photography. LOVED it, not for all photographers. Very challenging work in photography to capture a peak action shot.

If you were to guess what sport would be the toughest to capture. It would be boxing. It's hard to get the punch on the guys face . . . and boxing, you have to be a extremely fit athlete! That's it for now. CIAO, AP

These photos were made March 1972. Oldies but goodies. The highest speed B&W film back then was KODAK TRI-X ASA 400. No auto focus cameras and settings to ISO 12,000 ISO. It's easy today to make pictures using a digital camera. Aim the camera and press the shutter. Everything is automatic and accurate.

Try that with a film camera. If your camera lens was not in focus. The photo could not be used, gone forever cannot be brought back.

My camera used for these photos was a Nikon FTN with a motor drive 2.5 to 3 frames per second and a Nikkor 300mm f4.5 lens at 4.5 exp. taken from 1st balcony Boston Garden.

TRI-X 400 film pushed 1.5 stops and developed in Diafine, bath A & B.

I have to say, you cannot beat digital and computer technology. NO DARKROOM! You can see all your pictures in daylight. And, no need to buy expensive Polaroid Film.

These are classic SPORTS photos. I think the players were tougher back then too. Check out the head gear their wearing.
NONE !

Think about how much work was involved in making a picture using film. Once your camera was loaded with film. You couldn't change your ISO to another speed like you can with a digital camera any time you wish too!

Photographers today have it much easier than the film days.
O.K. you photo people, always think "HAPPY THOUGHTS"!

Thank You, Frank for your fine response. As mentioned, this is my first showing. It's always wonderful to see new photos from anyone. Your thoughts will change, you'll get ideas and different way of making a photo. Always keep looking!

My title: "Photos are everywhere you just have to see them" was chosen for these images. I do no not know if it was used by someone else. I chose it for these photos.

I'm still learning on my MAC 21.5 computer. Between that and my digital cameras. I LOVE IT, NO DARK ROOM . . .

Hi, AP here! This is my first photos post in Ugly Hedgehog Forum. I'v read many opinions concerning ones thought towards a photograph and equipment. I have many photos too add and talk about.

I was a freelance SPORTS Photographer for 15 years, 1969-84. Back then, the film camera days. It was not as easy to do as one thought. You had to manually focus the camera lens which separated everyone from another.

If one was a TOP-FLIGHT Sports photographer it was easer to capture a decisive moment. You saw the image quicker than most.

I never thought film would ever be replaced by digital. And digital, seems to becoming better and better. Presently my choice is the 4/3rds format. I use Olympus E5, M1, and Lumix GX-7. A lot lighter than my LEICA R8 or my HASSELBLAD EL.

I just now learned how to Download my photos into Forum. More to come in the future. THANK YOU!

Photography is wonderful! My opinion is, everyone has to have a camera. You do not have to spend 4-5 thousand dollars on one.

But, you have to have one, even a hundred dollar camera is fine. This is the photographic point to consider. Every time you snap that shutter and make a picture. You stopped a moment in time for that split second. SAVED FOREVER! Cannot be brought back in time past.

Please don't think Professional with your camera. THINK FUN !
