You did very well for all of these shot's. Too much further left on the top shot would have brought the branches in the foreground too much into the frame of the subject. Nicely done - Cheers.

Cropped is better for this shot.

Moon shots are tricky. Your probably wondering why it's so blown out with no detail of the moon. The reason is there is allot of light coming from the moon itself so you have to adjust your aperture down or bump up the shutter speed to bring out the moon detail. It's a fine balance between cloud detail or Moon detail but you can't have both unless you want to stack 2 differently exposed photos and use photoshop to mask and adjust to get the best of both worlds so to speak. Hope this helps you - Happy Shooting.

Photoshop elements would be your best bet. You can learn allot on YouTube on how to use it. There is a learning curve but if you stick with it - it's worth it.

Your camera was probably trying to focus on something but couldn't lock on. Try to manually focus next time.

Extension tubes generally do not communicate Lens data to the Camera. You have to do everything on manual setting i.e. Focus/aperture/shutter speed/ISO all have to be manually set. Check the manual or even Google the subject to make sure. Hope this helps.

Hello all. Happy to be part of a new Forum. I personally think Hedgehogs are rather cute animals.
I've been shooting for almost 40 years now and Digital for at least 12 years. I have 2 bodies I work with when I go out to shoot seriously. I have a Canon 5D Mark II as my main camera and a 50D as a backup. I'm not locked into any one form of photography and love a variety of subjects but I think that's what keeps me interested and constantly looking to better myself in the Art. I've attached some samples I hope you will enjoy.
I will do my best to contribute to this forum when I can. Happy shooting everyone.

If you have to use a point and shoot and conditions call for flash hold a piece of parchment paper over the flash to soften the light or reflection will blow out the subject. Otherwise use indirect natural light whenever possible.

Hello there "I'm not sure". There are allot of variables in that question. For instance what lens are you using. At f22 is there enough available light or are you bumping up the ISO or using fill flash or slowing shutter speed to compensate. f22 would give you the greatest DOF but you you may need to use a tripod to steady the camera. A good way to experiment is get two volunteers put one in the foreground and one in the background and play around with lenses and setting until you find what best meets your needs. Ulimately I think Anything between f9 & f14 with the right lens would be fine.
