Yes I can photo better on his face. Actually, he was born with a blurry face!

Most people consider "good photos" to be in focus and non blurry. They are not the same thing. No matter how well focused your photos are, if the subject moves too much for the shutter speed you will get a perfectly focused blur. Most people don't want that. Set the camera to manual. Set the speed to approx. 500 and the Aperture to approx. 7.1 and the ISO to auto. Sure you may get some grain on dark photos but most of them will be great. A good place to start out and then experiment from there. What's the worst that can happen? You don't save the photo.

I have both. Aperture can do wonders with your photos but Elements has layers which sometimes are needed. Together they will cover virtually anything you would ever want to do. I would, however, use Aperture to keep track of my photos.

So, like many of you I have a bunch of fancy equipment which is usually home on a shelf. So I have taken to using the iPhone and I can't duplicate the low light capabilities and depth of field capabilities of my fancy Canon equipment, but considering I have this with me all the time and can just stop and take this in 5 seconds, to me, is remarkable.

All he wants in life is for me to throw that ball!

2nd post in one hour. Should have put them both together but, oh well. Sorry, but I am damn impressed by the iPhone camera. The best phone is the one you keep with you.

Iphone 4.5 8 mp

I've posted three pictures below. From an iPhone 4.5 and from a canon 60D. Can you tell which is which?

Ans: C is 60D, A&B are the iPhone. Not bad for a telephone!

Thanks for the demo. When I first looked at it I said "well, that's no different than mine." But, when you put them side by side you see the small differences that really make an improvement. I'm probably going to steal yours and call it mine. Thanks

So, which of these is better? Feel free to tear them all apart - that's how we get better. Thanks.
