I am in agreement with "hankswan"....I have the New Microsoft Surface Pro...it isn't my main computer, I use it for travel and in my great room too while watching TV or for catching up on emails and news. Easy to take with me and use it almost anywhere that has Wi-Fi. Its especially nice when I'm at my son's house over-night or anywhere for that matter. It runs all my programs, including Photoshop, Lightroom, NiK and love working with pen for editing and I have a blue tooth mouse as well. It weighs less than 3 lbs. with a removable keyboard. Once you remove the keyboard it can be used as a tablet as well. It allows me to edit my photos while on vacation and upon return from my vacation I move the photos to my desktop. I purchase the I7 with 512 SSD and 16g memory. I love it so far. Good luck on you choices.

If you are dead set on sharing the slideshow without using YouTube or Shutterfly or some other file sharing online website there is a site called "WeTransfer.com"....you can transfer files up to 2gig for free and the folks at the other end can download from the "WeTransfer.com" site for free. After the up load your file your party on the other side gets and email from "WeTransfer.com" that there is a file for them to download. They open the email, click the link and bingo...they download it. By the way, you get an email from WeTransfer that your party on the other end downloaded the file so you know if all your efforts were successful. I use the WeTransfer site frequently for sharing full size photos that someone wants to print or to send files to my accountant that are too big for email. You might want to give it a try if the online viewing avenue doesn't appeal to you. Good luck.

I was hoping I could find a phone number for you at "getahuman.com. Have you tried going to "getahuman.com" to see if you can get a phone number for Flickr customer service? I briefly looked at "getahuman.com" and found several links and online chats, but never a phone, however, I don't have a Flickr account so I couldn't go too far without signing into my Flickr account....since I don't have a Flickr account I thought I'd pass this info on to you and you might be able to go further than I did...it might be worth a look...good luck.

There is a company out of New Hampshire that sells nothing but filters called "The Filter Connection"...they sell many filters types, from many manufacturers, and their prices are fair to boot...I've purchased several filters from them...John, the owner gave me a lesson on filters, costs, quality, etc. that would have taken me hours of confusion to try and figure out...he gave me a solution in the first phone call, I made a purchase and very happy with the results...I've been back buying other filters for new lenses a few times....their website is http://www.2filter.com/ . The entire staff is very knowledgeable and eager to help solve your filter questions and problems...I think it is worth the phone call. Good luck in your choice and purchase....

I've had this problem with my D90 way back when (I've been shoot FX models for over 3 yrs. now) and it was the lens not sitting well on the camera...turn/twisted to adjusted the lens, turned the camera off and on and bingo the problem went away....although the lens appeared to be make good contact, evidentially it wasn't....I would clean the contacts of your lens and camera and see it that helps...it worked for me and hope it works for you.

Our last cruise was the Panama Canal...98% of my shots were with my 24-120mm attached to my D750. I did use the flash on one or two occasions aboard ship, i.e. taking photos of my cabin, friends I met aboard ship, set up tripod to take selfie of wife and I, etc...if your crunched for space probably not worth bringing flash...the only time I used any other lens was actually going thru the canal to take photos of things on the shore, I did use my 70-300 and one of the photographers I met on board had a 150-600 and used it too, again only thru the canal...all my excursions I just carried the one lens I mentioned above...in my humble opinion the your 18-270 will be more than adequate...I doubt you'll take the 10-24 out of the bag, but it's a light lens, correct....heck, take it. Have fun look forward in seeing your photos.

I've been on an Alaskan cruise not once but twice (both inside passages) and if the opportunity came around again I would consider a 3rd trip....it is the most beautiful place for a landscape photographer as well as some wild life photography too....in addition to some awesome street photography opportunities on your excursions. Both of my trips were only 7 day cruises out of Seattle Washington...we stayed 5 days in Seattle after the cruise and I'm not sure which part was my favorite. Both were different to photograph and I came away with some pretty awesome shots. If you've never been as you've stated, I don't think you'll be disappointed in finding a trip to Alaska a bore or not one of the most beautiful places to photograph. There's a couple "Hoggers" that have posted some beautiful shots from that area. You should take a few minutes and hunt around the site for photos of Alaska...have fun and good luck with your choice.

If I were doing the same trip and I could fit those items that I think I'd like to have i.e. flash, tripod, longer lens, into my luggage and I would take them...but if weight and space are limited, I'd eliminate the long lens first, flash second, and flash third...with the tripod you most likely be at a location for a given period of time where you can pull it out and set it up for long exposure as a result of not having a flash....keep in mind your camera has a built-in flash, I agree not as powerful as your SB700 but will work nicely as fill in if necessary...a tip I've learned is to take the lens hood off if you are going to use the built-in flash to prevent shadows on your image....good luck on your trip.

While on our cruise thru the Panama Canal last fall, I took all my gear...D750, 24-120, 70-300, & SB910 along with a tripod...on all the excursions, which were bus rides to somewhere, I carried just the D750 and 24-120 attached...sure sometimes I would say I wish I had the long lens, but too few shots for me to say carry it on the excursion. I found the 120mm reach to be acceptable. In my opinion the camera and the lens is all you need in the bus otherwise it is to much to carry on a bus and really not enough time or room to change lens while driving along the roads...If you want to carry that stuff in your luggage for use while at a stop at an overnight location, maybe then you might use some of the other gear. I did get some great shots out of the bus windows while riding along highways and roads on our excursions.... and while in churches, museums, and other venues that were a little dark, I just cracked up the ISO...yes some shot did have a little noise, but I was able to adjust those in PS and made them certainly acceptable in my eyes. In my opinion, the D750 does a really good job in low light with higher ISO...take advantage of the capability of your camera...I did use my tripod from our front balcony in time-lapse mode while going thru the canal...otherwise I could have left it home too....if you're stuck on carrying a longer lens consider renting or purchasing a new or refurbished 28-300...I will say this...you'll get sharper photos from your 24-120....the 28-300 is a good lens, but the 24-120 is sharper...Have fun and we all look forward to seeing your photos.

Beautiful photo...I love silhouette of the trees with the sunset background....but I have a question why did you shoot with such a high speed and ISO? It just seems both are high for the conditions...I'm not trying to be a wise-guy just trying to learn as so many others on the site...thanks in advance for the explanation. Lane

Be sure you deactivate the software on your old computer. When I was using CS6 I had that version on three computers. However, only two of the three computers could use the software at one time...so it was a bit of a pain but my wife rarely used Photoshop on her machine so it wasn't worth buying a second license. Each time she wanted to use the software I deactivated it on my laptop and when she was done I just re-activated...a little annoying, but wasn't the end of the world.

You have one of the best filter suppliers right in your own backyard....well New Hampshire is close enough to your backyard when you considering I'm in Calif...nonetheless...I'd contact "The Filter Connection"...extremely knowledgeable sales people with a variety manufacturer's as well as very competitive pricing....all they sell are filters.

Here is their website...http://www.2filter.com/

I've purchase from them several times with complete satisfaction...If you call them you'll get an education on filters that is just amazing. Good luck in whatever you choose.
