Great video... The language is not an issue - music is international, with most of the instructions in Italian.

I took part in one of these shows in Bremen, back in 75 or 76. It really is a blast, playing in a massed band like this. I am now going to go down the rabbit hole of suggested videos that came up with this one!

All listed WHERE? If drives are turned off, they do not appear in Windows File Explorer or in the safe-disconnect list in the Notification Area.
After you safely eject a drive, it disappears from File Explorer.

If you are not safely ejecting drives before turning them off you could be confusing the system.

Get someone who's more handy with Windows than you seem to be, do a power-down and reboot, and get clear on what is happening. Trying to solve this "mystery" on this forum is too difficult.

I always (try to) eject any USB device. The problem now is in that process. When you click on the safe-disconnect icon in the notification area, it displays all the devices, but they are not accessible. You can select 'Eject Device', which removes all the entries beneath it. You cannot select the individual devices. As I said originally, they are there, but greyed-out.

Using the "Open Devices and printers" button, I got a list of devices, which included 2 generic icons just marked 'device'. Using 'properties', they were both listed as 'USB storage device'. I chose one and 'removed' it, and I must have guessed right, since the other connected drive is still connected.

None of this happened before the update a couple of days ago...

I don't usually have a problem with updates, but this time I have a 'quirk'... My USB system is different. I use a variety of external harddrives for backup purposes. One is on and connected all the time, and my data is copied to it daily, automatically. Another is used for monthly backups, and is kept disconnected from the PC and the power for safety. Then, there are 2 disks which I use in a connected dock to backup monthly for off-site storage.

When I go to remove a device, they are all listed there, but the individual drives are grey-ed out and cannot be individually selected. I have to select the 'eject device' button, which disconnects them all... I want the online one to remain connected, obviously...

The only solution seems to be remove everything then reboot. Not a huge deal, as this puppy comes back up pretty quickly, but I have never had to do this before.

Also, I have to keep moving devices from slot to slot, as the system doesn't recognise some of the slots - but different ones each time! Weird!

I fly a typhoon H, which has 6 motors - just to trump your 5! There is a delay of about a second when taking still photos with it, which is not a great deal of use. I shoot video, and use the (free, I think...) VLC video player to extract frames from the video file. I have had reasonable success with this process

Here is an example taken from a video of my church...

Curious - why a laser thermometer?

Well, my cat absolutely *loves* it! And the batteries are easier to get than those tiny fiddly things that are typically used in laser pointers...

Incidentally, mine does go through batteries surprisingly quickly... You would think a 9-volt would last for ever in there, but of course we don't know how much power it is using for the whole infra-red thing.

I just bought a used Kowa Super 66 (6x6 120 film camera) with a finder/exposure meter. I have not run a test roll of film yet but hope to do so soon. Any tips & tricks from Ugly Hedgehog Super 66 users?

I used one of these for a couple of years when I was in the military. I never had a prism finder, though, just looked down from above. Got some great results with that camera. Given most of my use was on parade grounds and tank parks, the noise was never a factor.

Speaking of assholes, I thought this was very funny. A few years ago, TV censors allowed "ass" to be said on TV. A character said "asshole," and they bleeped out the word "hole," so it wound up being "bleephole." Really?! I can just imagine, "The dog dug a BLEEP to bury his bone."

In the movie "Blazing Saddles", a little old lady is rude to the (black) sheriff, saying "up yours, N.....". One of the tv networks showed it, but changed it to "Out of my way, N....". I couldn't believe that they thought 'up yours' was more offensive than the N word! Oh, and they also changed the fireside 'beans' scene, so that each time one of the guys stood up and raised his leg, a horse neighed... Didn't make much sense.

I'm going to wait to install it because I have to remove the old one first, and that involves exporting all my settings and then importing to the new program. I want to make sure I do it right.

The installation program specifically says to *not* remove the old version, as that would lose all your settings. Just make sure the program is not running, and install over the top of it. Mine took about 30 seconds...

I finally got around to installing lastpass yesterday. It says I have 30-day trial of the premium version, but I am not sure if I need the extra capabilities.

Anyway, I have been logging in to my regular sites, and saving the details in Lastpass. Some of them are giving a little trouble, but I will get it sorted out eventually. My bank has 2 separate login pages, one for id, and the other for password, and this seems to confuse the program a bit. Having said that, each time they change their page, roboform would also throw a fit...

It is a little clumsier in operation than roboform, it seems. I can work with it, though. It has allowed me to switch my default browser to Edge, as quite a few sites are warning that they are discontinuing support for IE.

I appreciated the responses in this thread. It helped me sort my mind out about it!

A lot of people expounded on the ease of cross-device use, but this doesn't affect me. I don't do internet on my phone, and I only have a single PC connected to the net. I am probably in the minority in this, but it works for me.

Someone mentioned lastpass supplying the final <return> to finish the login, but I haven't found a way to do this yet. I can live with hitting it myself, but that was one thing that roboform did well. If you are still following the thread, can you explain how to do this?

I clicked on my usual email link this morning, and instead of giving me the normal digest, with my subscribed sections, it gave me the full thing. It also forced me to login before posting - and I haven't logged in in *years*! Minor hiccup with a password which is nothing like the one I have stored in my 'safe', but the recovery process worked smoothly. Once logged in, I got 'my' digest again.

Just wondering if the server has changed something, and everyone was getting this, or am I special?

If you've been having issues with updates and if your system allows it, I'd recommend delaying installation of updates by a few days.

I had mine set to delay for 30 days. I just checked, and the system now doesn't allow that setting... You have to tell it what date to start updating again, so you would have to do this every month to keep the delay. Also, the delay 7 days option is only until a set date, not a global 7 day period.

This makes it more of a pain to avoid the updates...

It is sad, but there is a guy on youtube who runs a channel just to debunk flat-earth loonies... Some of the clips he shows are crazy... Normal-looking people who will claim *anything* to prove that they are correct. I used to find it funny, but these days it just depresses me!

There really does seem to be one born every minute...

I have some CR2 files, and some DNG files, and a whole bunch of jpegs. I need to come back to this with a fresh mind at some point. I am burnt out just now, and have to be up and out before 6 in the morning...
