People keep talking about income tax...think the question was sales tax. I like OddJobber's answer. It just depends on which state, city, county, etc. My 2% likely correct answer: In Texas, goods are assessed a sales tax, services are not.

This is hilarious. I am no liberal, I am a disenfranchised former republican that the tea party has alienated. The left did not run Sara "Sell Out" Palin out of office. She quite simply violated her oath of office, bailed on her constituents, and ran off to make money selling books and tv shows while her name still had some panache.
God bless her for making money while she could. But her sell out pretty much destroyed what very little "public service" leadership credibility she ever had. If the right fringe wants to hold her up as an example of leadership, may God help the doomed GOP.
