It IS all about the money but promotes mediocrity .Unfortunately we also see the same in college sports but its not the players who make the $$$$. I mean, really, how many "Bowls" were there?
Thank you Acountry 330! most of you are reminiscing about groups from 40 years ago. The rules were pretty strict this year...no one was to expose her breast, clothes were kept on and nothing happened that I was embarrassed about since I had family (older and younger) watching. (they missed the "bird".
I say lose the Wild Cards. If they can't pull it off in the season, why get another chance?
Agree with PapaJon -couldn't say it any better.
Love B&W and its where I started . Ilford was my favorite. I still have a roll of Scalia B&W slide film that I was going use to do a study but never did and now pretty sure I wouldn't find a place to get it developed.
Eager to see what you post. the children are beautiful and your work with them will not go unrewarded. I'll be in Honduras next week on a medical mission.not sure I'll have time to photograph very much.
Striking colors in the sky!
Impressive! and proves that its the photographer's skill and vision, not the "new and improved- must-have- new-stuff"!
I love this. It made me come back to it several times. Looks like a painting. trying other angles, position, including the whole vase, including the top of the grass on the right... all might be fun to work with and then choose your favorite.love the background.
including or eliminating pieces and parts of anything can be artistically acceptable but only if appears intentional and not a mistake.
Although contests are subjective, YOUR photo needs to bring a WOW factor. Give the judge a reason to come back to yours or want to stay with it. And YOU have to love what you shoot--it'll show through. judges look at a lot of sunsets, landscapes, flora and fauna... give them a reason to look at yours a second time.
these are cool.
Icicles fascinate me. I'm always thinking they could be used in a murder mystery as the weapon cuz if it melts, there is no weapon in evidence. just thinkin, not plannin'.
Awesomely peaceful. and accompanied with poetry! what a compliment!
How great is that--that you were even there and got to experience these! I love the beauty of the Ribbon Worm and the Christmas Tree Worm and would love to see these even closer /or cropped out and enlarged. And who thought worms could be beautiful!
you are having fun as well as making some very beautiful shots. Love DivaDazzle , Sorrow, and Rain Goddess especially.
