As with all businesses that progress the upper end of management has to find ways to keep milking the cow to
get more. Their logic I believe is that you pay for internet service by the month, your telephone by the month and your entertainment like Netflix by the month so why not Photoshop?
I am sure there are those on this forum who are not as well off as they would like to be and the people at Adobe want you to "buy" their product every year. Renting works for them not for those on fixed income. Pixelmator and and the new Affinity software will start to give them thought about their new direction they have taken. In the mean time I am with those who still have hard copy on CD-ROM. It works for me and I have been using Photoshop since it was .95 Beta.

See if this is the cartridge you are looking for. It says it is

Before you buy remanufactured ink cartridges make sure the company is 9660 certified. That means the ink and cartridges
are up to standard.

Printing my first few prints out of the box I found that the printer would no longer feed the paper in the machine. Canon tech support was very helpful and resolved the problem by telling me to unplug the printer for five seconds and then plug it in again. After the printer printer power button flashed twice I was told to press the resume button beneath it and the printer accepted the paper. Here is where it gets a bit quirky. The rear paper feed is called the sheet feeder and the one on top of the printer is called the Rear Tray. I can still hear the tech guy saying "Go Figure". The US guys informed the Japanese who designed it but they will not change the configuration. Which means if you use logic and select the Sheet Feed the printer doesn't know it has paper to transport. The prints are spot on and I am glad I did not have to pack this printer up and return it.

If you purchased a camera from Adorama the $660 price of the Canon PIXMA 10 printer was reduced by a rebate. The offer also
included 50 sheets of 13x19 inch Semi-Gloss Photo Paper.
Ten pigmented inks were also included. Take a look on E-Bay
for the printer and you will see some of the printers going for
much less than the original price. The purchasers of the camera/printer offer are putting them up for sale. The printer produces some very good results even if the replacement ink is a bit expensive. If you are looking for a 13x19 inch ten color printer you will probably not match this deal.

Sometimes you have to see that shadows are the picture. Learning how to use them is the trick.

There is photography and then there is the end use that you would like to accomplish with the image. "Art" is very broad subject and it is subjective as to what works and what doesn't. In my experience with art directors and graphic artists I have found they are influenced by what they consider how the photograph should be used. To get a clearer understanding of how they think images should be take a look at this site.

This image shows how they can convert what you saw into something very different.

Notice that the red tinge in the right cheek is modified.
Also see that the highlight in the arm and the violin
has not been washed out. The lip line has a touch
more color and the reflective highlight under her nose
has be taken care of. One of my clients was a state symphony
orchestra for eighteen years. You are on the right
track.

Another attempt at your family photograph.
Keep taking the photographs of your family
because like fine wine they just get better
with age.
