I talked to Canon today and this is what they sent me:
Manual Color Adjustment
When allowing an application to control the color management of the print, the printer's color correction must be disabled or the print results will be unpredictable. Follow the steps below to change the color correction method.
1. Select the command you use to perform printing from the program you are using. (In general, select 'Print' on the File menu to open the Print dialog box.)
2. Select your model name and click 'Preferences' (or 'Properties'). The printer driver setup window appears.
3. On the Main tab, select 'Manual' for 'Color Adjustment,' and the click the 'Set' button.
4. From the Matching tab, select the best 'Color Correction' setting for type of image you are printing. Select 'None' if you want the application to manage the color.
None
Does not correct colors. Use this when managing color from an application.
(Default setting: Driver Matching )
Driver Matching
Corrects colors inside the printer driver to colors most people prefer.
Use the 'Linear Tone' option for Color Mode to get the most accurate match for sRGB without using custom profiles.
ICM (Windows Image Color Management)
Corrects colors using the Windows color management.
Thanks for all of the responces
I am using Canon paper and used the canon ICC profiles in LR. When I tried to use the ICC profiles and viewed the photo before printing the color was off. When I set the paper type in the dialog box and then set the color to be managed by the printer the color looked correct. I have been looking through all of the controls etc.. Thank you for your time
I have a new Canon Pro 100 printer. I use this with a PC running Windows 7 and LR4. I have been trying to print in LR using ICC profiles of the paper. When I do this in LR under Color Management a statement comes up that ask you to turn off color management in the printer driver dialog box. I can not find where to turn off the color management so the printer will not interfere with LR. As always any help in this will be greatly appreciated.
Try the Pungo Wildelife Refuge in N C. I have gotten pics of black bear, geese and swans. You could call their office and find out what is there.
How are Blu-ray's for storage?
Thanks JLRplsFL worked great.
I went to use the spot removal tool in LR 4.3 and the second circle that lets you select the new area to cover a spot has disappeared. Is there a setting that I hit by mistake to cause this and does any one know how to correct it. Thank you for your help.
I may have missed this in all of the comments but do you use back button focus on your shots? This is very important with sports.
Where can you get good 11' x14' paper for a canon printer?
I am getting a canon pro 100.
I have both the 7D and the 10-22. I love both of these and think you would be happy with them. Attached are some pics that I took with them.
Thank you for all of the responces. Looks like I will be getting PS.
Have a good day
I took this picture of a Kingfisher and would like to remove the vines in the background. I have lightroom 4 not PS. Can this be done in LR4 and which tool should I try? I am new at this.
Thanks for any help.
Looks great and has to feel great.
I ordered the Canon 100L today. Thanks for the replys.
Thanks for the comments. I am loooking forward to doing some macro work. Most of what I have done has been landscapes, sports and birds. I have used a 70-200 with a 1.4 converter to try and get in close but now I am ready to try real macro work. Again thank you for your help.
