Is there anyone else who purchased one of these? It has a nice HD camera built into it, and I thought I could get some unusual shots I'd like to have. I was able to get the drone powered up, one time, complete with two headlights, and I got it to fly, here in my den. So I grabbed it before it hurt itself. Could not get it started again. And even then, I just kept pressing buttons to get it powered up. The instructions are so utterly vague, it doesn't even tell how to power up the drone.

I'm hoping the answer is 'yes', so I'm asking: Is there anyone else here who has purchased a Quadcopter Drone?

I am curious to ask, image for image, Canon D5II with L/lenses compared to mirrorless. Just what do you see as the difference in the final image?

Hey Real Nikon Lover, I'm with you. My other half and I tried Smart Phones for 6 Months. His remained in his glove box. Why have them?? So we now have what I love to call Dump Phones, total bill for both is $35 a month, and we can use these in our car should we have a breakdown, etc. So, no real need here for a smart phone.

Then again, Sony has smart phones to sell.

What so many overlook is the quad-pixel arrangement in all our cameras. This means that the pixels are side-by-side, hence a 'touch of focusing' is essential. This is a way to "merge" the four pixels into one. Hence, theoretically, every image must be "focus improved". And yes, I said four. All of our cameras use the Bayer Matrix. Just like we are less sensitive to low-frequency sound/music, we are deficient in our sensitivity to the color green. Hence, Bayer Matrix, so our cameras offer a matrix of R+G+Bl+G. An extra green pixel helps our appreciation for the color of green, to which we are less sensitive to.

I have another usage for your consideration. Our home is three floors, and to put it discreetly, I don't wear pants at home. So where would I carry a cell phone? But with the landline, there is a phone in every room of the house, including the garage. See why I keep the landline?

How are you all doing on robo-calls, especially those of you who still have a land line, as we do? Yesterday, between 1PM and 4PM, we had sixteen calls. Of course, after the ringing ended, I entered all 16 into our CPR-Call Blocker. Hence they will never be able to call us again. But I've never see so many in such a short time window.

How are all you doing with Robo Calls, especially if you are using a Land Line?

You are welcome Phil. And trust me and the other comments made here, Affinity Photo is THE one all of us should be using. All respect to Photoshop, but I am not sorry that I switched to Affinity Photo.

I think you are asking a Lightroom question. I never use that program. For me, after I process the image I want, I store them on a dedicated external hard drive, using the name I decide to give each.

I just received an email from Affinity, announcing 50% off. For us photo finisher, that means that Affinity Photo is now only $26.99. Being a 15 year user of Photoshop, and I have nothing but respect for Photoshop, but I'm now 5 years into Affinity Photo and I like it better for many reasons. And for anyone who might feel that they will become overwhelmed, relax. Beginners can get into, to do many things, and learn other features as you wish.

I should say here that I'm not an employee of Affinity. I'm sharing this information, and one UHH member to another.

To share an opinion, of mine for what it's worth, you obviously enjoy doing post production, every bit as much as I do. Many on here are not in love with post, but I sincerely enjoy post production, and wanted to share that opinion since you have just demonstrated the results of some great work. My compliments to you.

But did you use multiple Photoshop filters on your original image?

Was the palm tree image created using the many filters in Photoshop?

It looks like we might think a alike. I drove an Accura to 300,000 miles, and now I've just bought a Honda CRV. According to the Honda CRV Owner Club (can you believe that, a major club for similar owners?), I should plan on at least 100,000 miles, and many there have driven their (still currently) to 250,000 miles. So they could be an economy car.

Julian, I think it continues to sell for only about $50, and all updates are free. I've used Photoshop for more than 15 years, and had no complaints, until the "rental" days arrived. That is when I moved over to Affinity Photo. You can begin to use it right away, and then learn more about the tools later. BTW, I'm being told that Youtube offers many free tutorials too. Happy photography.
