hi,
BatManPete here.....
A piano tech. . . . ever mess with air operated, pump pedals, that played WONDERFUL music from paper rolls with long punched lines, medium... small holes . . . that air was forced thru which directed which and what key to strike a chord????
I grew up . . . messin' with a Gulbranson piano mfg. in Chicago.
http://www.grebepiano.com/gulbransen-paino-compnay
It sure gave me something to do on 40 degree below Zero day.
Niagara, Wi. [210 population - 1942 era.] Had 'bout 50 paper rolls perforated with songs. Turkey in the Straw was one of them.
If he knew how to type with all 10 phalanges I'm sure the error wouldn't have occurred!
...they do that @ Little Lake St Germain, Wi.. when they see U walk down the dock with a large bag of bread chunks from local restaurant! I didn't think they'd eat frosting . . . but they do :P
Sarge . . . . "Linotype Kid here!" 12-23-13
Keep doing what U are rite now. Don't mess with any MicSft version 8. . . with 64 bit formatted drive. No 32 bit prgs. work on V8-64 unless u reformat a chunk of the drive to 32 bit. That's a pain in the as_! It takes a bunch of $$ to play games with "touch & go" squares on a $500/$700 terminal. NOT incl. with computer. Other software companies, i.e. Corel, etc. are more than happy to sell you a new version of what already works on ur present 32 bit machine.
I'm using a keyboard on an XP since 2002. XP has to get unplugged from INTERNET in a few months. Lack of support by MicSft. JERKS..... THEY ARE!! With a dick head for a CEO - who they are ditching in a few months.
Mine sits on a bench in back room until MSft get's their crap together for the Ver 8. With an affordable keyboard and normal terminal.

My present 12 yr. old XP crashed 3 times. I took the declared "crashed disk" with me when I picked up the machine. Was going to tear into it and see what it looked like. WHOA! Discovered more plugs on the connection to the new hard drive. They fit into the "crashed disk" . . . . VOILA! I discovered I had another drive - "E" . . . I use the "C" drive for my programs etc. only. All my text, etc. files were intact on the old "C" drive... Now my "E" drive. In addition I added a Seagate320 external drive for more storage. Plus I still have 2 "drives that were declared trash by repair persons" on the shelf.
Only thing I added to the XP was the max. amount of RAM it would hold. Purchased from DELL, plugged it in.... nothing else goes wrong with the XP.
I'd look for a machine that operates with Windows 7. . . . . for cheap. Your present, 32 bit programs should work on that machine. Ask the seller about that?
NOT FROM AMAZON!
Sounds like the govt. wants to be the "savior" . . . of Ur $ ... like SS.
$16.00/month more in 2014. . . . But wait! Wis State food share stamps decided to place me on a diet! $14.00 less per month.
Therefore I'm exactly $2.00 ahead of the game per year.
How fortunate I am!!!!!!!!!!
Take a length [top of transmission "hump" on front floor of vehicle to any spot on dash board for attachment] of 1/4" plywood or ?? Couple Wide rubber bands to hold lens to board. Camera sits on top of "hump" . . . lens is straight up.
Just like law enforcement gun rack holder.
Lived in UP..... No vehicle insurance for collisions between Live Deer and vehicles. . . . .
U'd never be able to afford the price of the policy!
Only from Sarge. . . . I'm designing a new business card.....
May I use ur' quote??
thanks sarge.
12 year USN "swabie". . . is all I did. Then back to the real world of Linotype machines. [typesetting repair]

"3 level crapper"
Cabin looks like one in Northern Wi. Middle of 80 acres. NOT A POWER LINE or ELEC METER WITHIN 2 MILES. Lots of dead birch and maple for fire wood. Three oil lamps. Water hauled in - 5 gal. jugs. One very nice crapper with bay-window overlooking the Peshtigo River, where the deer and beaver play. That's livin.
feature was turned one....... last word should be "on"....NOT "one" ////
Nancy statement:
I would have offered, but decided not to on the ethics of John achieving marks not all on his own merit. Cheers, Nancy J

My mother was an English Prof. - 1925 - County Normal School, (college prep)Stevens Point, Wi. . . . How FORTUNATE for me!
I forgot one thing..... If the paragraph was quad left or ragged on the rite end of the line, the computer would back up to the last word space and quad the line left. Justification only was active when that justification feature was turned one. "Oh Happy Days"
MicSft spell check [hyphenation] is useless. 1975 era when computers were talking to photo typesetting, introducing hyphenation into text paragraphs.
Multi-multi million $ print company got taken to court. Why???
their computer had to hyphenate the word "therapist". . . OH boy.... Hyphenation was thus: the- ..... next line....rapist. I had the same problem when I developed a photo typesetting system for Wisconsin, 1972, hyphenating last names of legislators. Legislators were livid. Sooooo I just entered into the dictionary all last names or anything else they didn't like, how the computer bastardized a word . . . WITHOUT HYPHENATION . . . VOILA..... Legislature ...... PROBLEM SOLVED. Problem solved.
