Is that a WESTIE? I painted one on one of my Christmas cards for a lady in Canada and did a Yorkie on an ornament for a local lady.
I love both dogs. I must say GERMAN SHEPHERDS are soooo smart and it's so sad to hear what happened to Beauty and Beast.
Great photos y'all ( I'm deep-fried southern)

You painted a Yorkie on an ornament? You must have one heck of a talent to paint one on something that small!!! Great idea's though! My German and King both was wonderful, smart, and full of life in the day and at night kept me and my family safe from whatever may try to cross the line. Both was amazing. I knew Beast would go not long after Beauty was gone. I tried to prepare myself but it took months for my family to heal from loosing both of them. One thing I know, they will never be forgotten.

I paint for a living. I paint everything from tiny to huge. I have painted on a thimble and have painted wall murals 20 feet tall and 30 feet wide. I make greeting cards and sell them in all 50 states and 5 other countries. I do them in 8x10 inch or 11x14 inch paintings, scan them and shrink them to 5x7. I do people's dogs, horses, cats and birds (parrots) on them. I started painting at 4 years old and hope I paint til I head for the bridge!
I have done many breeds of dogs on ornaments. I need to paint more breeds on cards. I have lots of horse cards (about 60-70), but just a Westie and a Corgi on cards.
I had a German Shepherd once. She was soooo smart. It kills us to lose one. I know what you mean.

I want a painting!!! i buy all local or artist work that i know (even online) my house is full, website? where can i contact you?

You are kidding. I guess a lot of people do that. They just want paintings by different artists. I have a few customers who buy paintings whenever I send the pictures of what I have painted in E-mails. I get to keep very few. If I want them for my own collection, I just don't let those two see them. LOL!
I have a website that is in a mess right now. Someone hacked in and took off a lot of my pictures, but I still have a few of everything on there. I do have a Facebook album, (Jozart) but it has Christmas cards. I am going to add another album to it with some oil paintings on it. Website is www.jozart3.com

Here is one of my paintings I did recently. I haven't decided if I am going to show it to the ladies. I could say these were my pets because I once had 6 of them that were. (that should keep me from being off topic, right?....just say "right")

I apologize if I post the same image again, after posting about 500 images I am getting lost.....

Don't be apologizing. We could look at the same ones over and over many times and never blink! (if we blinked we might miss a second or two of it.)

HorseartI agree Dave. We adopted Savannah after she had been kicked and beaten almost to death by her male owner. A neighbor reported him for kicking her through (her mom and other pup) through the air like a football, when she was 3 months old. Humane society went and got her, her mother and brother. All 3 got adopted. I was so happy to give Savannah love and peace for the rest of her life. She knew we loved her and showed her appreciation, just the most loving dog ever.[/quote wrote:

Savannah was one most fortunate puppy. I'm sure her leaving devastated you. Elizabeth and I now have a very large Collie named Belle. We adopted her, as well. It's a long story, so I won't tell it here, but she is making such tremendous strides in learning to trust us. I'll try to find a photo or twa of her, and then tell her story.

Dave K

I'll be watching for Belle and her story. It took Savannah a long time to trust any man other than my husband, but she was velcroed to his leg everywhere he went. She knew she was loved here. I have another story of an amazing dog that chose to live here (from next door), but it's too long for here. I may put the link to his page here later.

Good thing you didn't buy your wife something she really didn't want. Yorkies are very expensive but they are so cute.

 very true! and smart from what I've read and heard!

Just FYI, folks, but Yorkies and all the others needn't be all that expensive. There are so many of them who have been abandoned or are unwanted for one reason or another. Whether Yorkie, Silky, Cockapoo, Shih-tzu, or bull mastiff, there is a rescue organization for them. I was honored to be the adoptive dad to a wee Silky boy named Niko. All he cost me was a tank of gas to go get him and bring him home - he even came with his very own blankie. Sure he had a few issues, but so did I. We worked it out. If you're looking for a loving pet, please try one of the rescue groups - a very great many of them are online.

I do not work for any animal rescue group, PETA, or the like - I work in a "human" hospital. I say that just in case anyone is thinking I'm getting paid for this. I'm not. I lost Niko two years ago - him and his "sister," Maggie. I miss them so very much.

Your pictures are never safe anywhere, but if someone wants to copy it and then sell it as a print or as a card, anything at all, you own the copyright and it can actually cost them the farm if you press the issue in court.
A poor man's copyright can make you rich if someone uses your photo for ANYTHING. Take the photos you think the most of, make a copy with a date on it, take it to a notary, sign it, have them notarize it, seal the envelope, take it to the post office and have them HAND CANCEL it, so you can read the date clearly. Then mail it to yourself. DO NOT open the envelope, file it away. If someone starts selling your photo, take them and you un-opened envelope to court. Show the date they were selling it and let the judge open the envelope and look at YOUR date! They are now TOAST! They will pay you big
bucks after the judge figures how many of these you might sell in a lifetime. They have infringed upon your living! I know this. Read the book of copyright
laws. I do all my painting this way.

I have some registered with the Library of Congress and they told me it was legal to use a poorman's copyright in court. All the judge needs is proof that you are the owner (they refer to it as "author" whether written , painted or photographed) and that you were the author BEFORE they "owned" it.
I make my living with my greeting cards and paintings. Been there once and done that. In the book of copyright laws (newest one) they assure you that if ANY proof is shown, the author always wins. Been there, done that.

PS: Not just any lawyer will do, get a copyright lawyer. I had to contact one once and he said YES, the PM copyright IS worth the paper it's written on as long as it's notarized.
