Merry Christmas to you! Your cards are so lovely, i believe you could sell them professionaly.

Sman, Thank you for your kind words. They are VERY much appreciated. I do sell my cards professionally. It's my business. I sell to all states, 5 other countries and some horse/tack/gift shops.

I have 2 people that help me and from this year's orders, I'm thinking more elves for next year. Through the rest of the year I do more serios paintings and sell them. I have only 4 or 5 of those left at the moment and 2 of those are small. I need a rest, and normally take January off, but my paintbrushes are straining to get back at it! LOL!

Taken around Telegraph Creek,B.C.,Canada.

I love these little Munk-ees! We used to have them around the ditchbank behind our horse barn, but sadly, the barn cats have gotten rid of them. Now the cyotes are getting rid of the barn cats.
I love #3. He looks so precious and that warm background color is so inviting.

Great cards, you are very talented. I have never done my own card before, but I have it in the planning for next year. I could never paint my own card, however I will be trying to get that great photo to use on a card. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!

Merry Christmas to you too. So many people do the photo cards. You MUST do one. Thinks about it all year and get that great shot, the tree, the family or grab a good one if it snows (assuming it snows where you are.) LOL)

Please don't worry about criticizing your own work. We are ALL our own worst critics. Just show what you like because there will always be some who love it, some who don't. Most will love it!!! Go for it.

LOL, Oh it can snow here in Northeastern Oklahoma, we've just been lucky so far. We have had snow the past two years for Christmas, but not this year. I will definitely be doing my best to get that perfect picture (if I can, since I seem to be my own worst critic :-) )

Thank you Ivan, for "painting" my mare and foal with your software. I like the effects of your filters a lot better than mine. You are too kind!!! I am framing this one!

Here's one of my favorites. My husband with my 18 yr old daughters horse, Nisha. She was a replacement for my daughters first horse, Beau...she got Beau on her 18th birthday and only had him for one month when he was diagnosed with a nerve disease and she had to have him put down. She was so devestated! On the last day she had Beau we took the second picture of her and her beloved horse.

Beau looks a lot like my Mooch and Mooch's son Porter. He has very kind looking eyes too. Pretty daughter!

I apologize if I post the same image again, after posting about 500 images I am getting lost.....

Do not apologize. We love them no matter how many times we see them and we're so glad that bear paid no attention to you! I'd almost bet you were too! LOL!

Now see, you aren't the only one...didn't I already say that?

Have you made a Christmas card, either photo card or hand painted to share with any forum families?
As an equine artist, I paint my cards, then shrink and print them, but this year, I am sending only two, one painted (for facebook) and printed, one photo. I'll show both here.
Merry Christmas to all of you from Jo & Joe.
Please feel free to show us your cards

Why reindeer when you can have a flying horse?

That was my guess, but one doesn't like to guess wrong. :) Beautiful stallion. One of my neighbors has Walkers, and they used to spend a couple of weeks every summer riding in north Idaho wilderness. I have Arabs and Morgans. Horses are frustratingly difficult to photograph well.

The Arabs are a little hot for me. I LOVE Morgans. As an equine artist, I paint horse portraits and paint greeting cards with people's own horses on them and though I do all breeds, I have yet to do the Arabs and Morgans on my cards. I am making sure will have those later in the year. Of course, so far most of my cards have Walkers. LOL!

You haven't said what breed your horses are. Thoroughbreds? Tennessee Walkers?

My horses are Tennessee Walkers. We do the flat shod horses. We had 77 of them at one time, (in the mid 70s) but as we get older we keep cutting down more and more (too much to care for), so now, we are down to 5. Through the years we have had a couple of Saddlebreds, Arabs and Quarter Horses.

I didn't mean to answer twice...sorry
