I better quit while I'm behind. After all I'm from Georgia and I stay confused! Alabama's cool!
It's OK, we are all enjoying some fantastic shots here with a little humor mixed in. I enjoy a good sense of humor! I'm thinking we need to be out focusing and practicing our own shots now that we are so inspired!
Great shots! If you like cemeteries and/or finding those who are gone, try www.findagrave.com It's amazing.
I am a volunteer photographer for Find A Grave. I have two cemeteries near here that I have gone to the most. One is Calvary Cemetery and the other is Chippiannock in Rock Island, Il. For some reason, this has become my favorite.
Nice contrast, I like it! Thanks, Ivan.
I wonder why they painted the colors on the tops of the fences?

Love that shot. When I see young angels and cherubs, I think children and babies and a wave of sadness takes over.
I'm really enjoying these matter of fact old cemeteries have always fascinated me and it has inspired me to go lookin' and shootin' again.
Ha! Talk about inspiration!!! I'm worried that I may wake up some night and find myself crawling around in some cemetery in my nightgown with my camera hanging around my neck. I'm tying my silly self to the bedpost!!!!
Have you read Edgar Allen Poe's 'The Premature Burial'?

Wow...I thought that sort of thing happened all the time in Tennessee! lol
Crawling around in Cemeteries or misspelling tieing? Tennesse is famous for it's many blunders. I'm originally from Alabama!

The face on the Tlingit Frog is fasanating to me.... A slight sad eyes look, yet a slight smile of it face, like its saying,"Yes I'm gone, but thats ok".
Thanks Horseart I needed reassuring after seeing all of the cemetery shots,
LOL! Repeat after me. "I will be OK". I assure you, it doesn't work, but it will make you feel better!

Judging by the low views my previous post Alaska: Christmas lights received it looks like it did not show up on the UH "radar" again which I find frustrating.
Alaska, not sure why but I didn't see the Christmas Lights until I clicked on your name and and looked at your posts. Wonder why? Makes me wonder what other posts I missed... BTW....love your photos, both Christmas lights and Haunted House...heck...all of them!
By now I am aware of this problem and find it frustrating. I do not do anything different with my posts but some show in the PICTURES list and some do not. I contacted the Admin. but did not get an answer which would solve anything. I keep a close eye on the view counter to find out what subjects UH community cares about but because of this occasional "invisibility" the views contradict themselves. E.g. my first post "Sea lions" received low views so I would not post any more sea lion photos for a long time. Then I decided to confirm if UH members really hate sea lions and the new sea lions post received high views. The same with wildflowers.Go figure... The best way how to keep an eye on me is to list me as your Buddy or go to my profile and click on Topics created. If you have not seen over 500 photos in about 90 threads then you missed some. Thanks, Ivan.

Ivan, what I do is click on "Alaskan" just above your hat in your profile photo and then go to your "list" which I believe has 97 topics right now (yesterday...haven't looked yet today) and go to every topic and check them out. I have looked at ALL of them. I spend way too much time at the computer, but it's worth every minute!!! I also have you in my "buddy" list and can click on you there to see if you have added anything new. You have certainly opened up a world of great beauty for all to see.

I have no doubts about your ability to find my photos but at present my post Alaska / B.C.:Stikine River seems to be invisible to most of my regulars. Or they do not care about that thread, hard to say. Thanks,Ivan.
Well, when you click on your name, right here, just above your hat, it give you the page to look up your list and it shows it in the second spot on the list. All I can say is, if they haven't looked, they should. It'a beautiful!
I'm surprised that no one has put up a photo of the graves in New Orleans. They are mostly above ground because of the marshy land and thousands of people visit them each year.
