Thank you. The trouble is, I was concentrating on the waterfowl not the bridges. I wasn't aware of it until PP.

I was wondering what I could've done, on-site and in-camera, to keep from burning out the whites in the Flamingos so that I wouldn't have to deal with this issue in PP. I shot this pic with my Nikon D7200, 1/2000 sec., f/6.3, ISO 8000 and at 240mm on my Nikon 18-300mm f3.5/6.3. I usually use the E/V button and stop the exp. down one or two stops but, might this be an ETTR situation? Informative suggestions will be appreciated but please, leave the snarkasm home. And yeah, I've watched YT concerning ETTR. MM

I've been a member, and have been reading the forum, for a few months now. I bought my first SLR back in '70 and have been into photography ever since, strictly as a hobby. Knowing I was going to retire at the end of last year, I've been buying Nikon gear, and experiencing severe GAS attacks throughout the summer. I will attempt to post some photos and look forward to CC's to help refine my attempts to "get it right." MM

I made that jump last summer. My only regret is I sorely miss the flexible LCD screen. It made taking low level shots with my WA a lot easier, but you will be able to AF with more lenses and pick up additional features in the camera's menu.

A couple of my fav Duke flicks that weren't mentioned are "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence" and "In Harm's Way." I never considered Duke much of an actor and I suspect he knew was never going to be misconstrued for Olivier or the up-and-coming, new kid on the block, Brando, but he was a proven, box office draw through out the fifties. My fav Duke flick is his "The Quiet Man", a beautiful, lyrical ode to the Emerald Isle and its quaint adherence to its centuries old customs and ethos, in post WWll Ireland. But who ever thought "The Alamo" was Oscar-worthy. Seriously?

Kinda reminds me of an Edward Hopper painting, only the subjects are in B/W: individuals, in a crowd, engrossed in their own thoughts, unaware of the others, save for the marginalized, ostracized(?) smoker/watcher on the right. American isolationalist tendencies captured.

Thanks for the behind-the-scenes, mindset look, at Madison Avenue's approach to consumers' susceptibility to "buy more stuff," especially during the holidays.

Good Morning. My name is Mike M. and I've been reading this site for a few months. I've haven't posted any photos or said anything on the UHH site. I would like to buy this lens. If it is available please tell me how you want to close the deal. Thanks in advance. MM.
