Hm. I don’t know much about birds; but, never heard of one called a β€œbird section post”. Somewhere, I have a bird ID book.

On a walk along the Elm Creek this week a came upon a group of Mallards enjoying the open water on a rather nice afternoon. I took a few photographs and continued on my way.

The first photo was right out of the camera and showed promise. The second photo was the result of spending a little time in Affinity Photo making a few changes: removing some trash and playing with the lighting.

Actually, fwiw, I like the first picture best, due to its crispness, although both are great pics.

Why would anyone use a card reader when there are more direct ways to load photos onto a computer, like using a USB cable?

Why not use a card reader?

When I lived in the city I found knowing my neighbors other than their names and just saying hello usually ended up causing me trouble.
Out here in the sticks we wave at each other when passing, speak when we pass in a store or see them having trouble ( ask if they need help) and give help if needed. Everyone seem very happy that way.

I don't have to dig out the cable and make sure the camera has a sufficient charge in the battery for the duration of the process.
Less than 10 seconds to remove the card and insert it into the reader.

I use a card reader all the time.

2 chopped bbq sandwiches, 2 orders of fries. A tea & one water; under $12 at our favorite bbq place.

My school in Kentucky, bullies changed their ways fast. Most kids lived on rural routes, so you sometimes had K to HS from one family. If anyone started to bully the little ones or their friends, they had to face the Big Kids. And the drivers didn't see a thing, "I was too busy trying to get past a herd of cows being driven down the road."

Learned to drive in a β€˜52 Studebaker Commander. Was a shame they went away; β€˜53 & β€˜54 coupes were ahead of their time.

Who needs a zipper when they can use the holes in the knees? 😁

Hm; hadn’t thought of that.

I suppose that I am just the opposite, since Levis never fit me quite right. I used to wear Lees all the time, but now I only wear relaxed fit Wranglers. I also buy a pile at a time.

Most of the short pocket, short zipper stuff is made in China, I think. They are usually cheaper and my wife likes bargains, so she has been instructed to never, ever buy my bluejeans.

Yupper. Wore Levi’s when I was young and skinny. Now it’s Wranglers relaxed fit. Much easier to move around in. My problem is finding 29” inseams as I am short legged. Hardly ever find that inseam at Walmart; even hard to find at a large mall outlet.

I'm thinking about getting hundreds of kids to go along with that rule.

In our day, there were rules and you abided by them.

Jerry you can't get away from school, you are going on a daily basis. You are not attending a formal classroom but wherever you are or may be will be your classroom. so when we graduate high school/college we move from those formal classrooms to the classroom of life. Just my take on schooling.

Yupper. Left college in β€˜65. Now I’m attending lectures and seminars at UT Austin. Under the OLLI program. Really enjoying it.
