Hi. I'm an old geezer, 15 years retired, looking to take one last fling at photography. I started shooting in my teens with a used argus model 21. Took a lot of photos and read a lot for many years, but was never as good as most of you here. My cameras began collecting dust some 20 or so years ago when traveling vacations ended and other interests increased. Now I'm ready to start that one last fling. I expect to be mostly a viewer here rather than a poster and learn from reading your posts and answers. Since I have gotten rusty on what I did know, ( and what I went into the other room for a while ago for that matter ), I may have a question occasionally, if I don't see an answer posted here. For now: Would a newer Nikon with the higher pixel count etc. produce a NOTICABLY sharper image than my D80, with the same lens? Thanks
