Taken with my not very smart Galaxy A51. Cropped and adjusted in Photoshop. The vertical line in the center of the clouds and the sun rays were part of the original picture.

Wow! Drama Queen has 'nuthin on that!!

Nice image, for sure there, Curmudgeon!! Yes!

Why do UHH people and reviewers panc over some zoom lenses that extend when zoomed out talking about dust and moisture as a fault.
Yet the Z 24-70mm f2.8 and Sony 24-70mm f2.8 trombone in and out when zoomed with no concerns expressed here Or in reviews. Would this not change balance and allow dirt and moisture in as the lens is zoomed?

Everyone here on UHH is Rich$$ ('cept me, of course!), and when a lens gets dirty, inside or out, they just buy a new, hopefully more expensive, lens - with a new and improved Body attached to said lens!!

Come on, Architect1776, get with the Program! ...Ha!

Check your manual. If you are shooting in Monochrome, your camera may give you the option of applying filter effects electronically. All of my digital cameras provide the option of Yellow, Orange, or Red filters when shooting in Monochrome. The advantage of this approach is that you don't lose the up to 2.5 stops of exposure that comes with the physical red filter.

My Lumix GX7 is set up exactly that way. That way I can see the JPEG right away for the effect - then work the RAW any stinkin' way I wanna'!

I happen to be very lucky in that I have Three Trader Joe's nearby to shop at! And, I really like their Ravioli selections - here being the Porcini Mushroom and Ricotta Cheese variety.
~ While I have in the past made my own ravioli, I choose not to because there's a lot of better made and more variety out there.... Here served with a nice Grilled Italian Sausage with homemade Fresh picked Basil heavy sauce!

My outdoor farmers market is winding down and this was the last week for it. Good thing too because it was really cold here. At one of the tables I saw these big beautiful leeks and right next to them was the potatoes. This soup has been on my to try list for awhile. I knew I had some homemade chicken broth in the freezer. This soup was fantastic and I will be making it again. Topped with croutons from my homemade bread.

Very Appetizing image, JustJill!! Great cool weather comfort food that!

I really like me Holga.
Did the spray paint and aperture mods.
120 film, sunny16- good enough for some 8x11 pix.
Kept it as an "almost" disposable. Broke or stolen? I got another $20.
Always amusing- most sold used on eBay for more than new ones' cost.
Lasted longer than my Canon!

thank you all,.. the chart above really help me, i always focus at the far right edge of my subject, i shoot pillows, in light color cases and they always are soft and fuzzy at the edge, so i go for smaller aperature ,and focus to offset the lack of detail in my pillow, and since the bench was white i was wanting to make sure the edges were clear
i am going to try your suggestions,

Sorry, lydiabpinkham. But we don't know to whom you are talking/Responding back to.

As has been pointed out by CHG_CANON, Using the Quote Reply tells all of us to whom you are talking/Replying to!

Thank you for your understanding on this point - I know you are a SMART person!!

(wow! that's a.llotta' Bold type!! )

NEVER MIND, my bad. I misread and did not see "thank you all...." in the begining!!! Whupsidazy!!

You've definitely created more drama, though the teensy bird should be replaced by a vulture, don't you think?

It's not seriously unsharp. F/16 on a crop sensor camera is a very small aperture. You'll get less diffraction if you open up the aperture.

Remember when you would hear something like, "Entries must be postmarked by October 30th to qualify."? I can't remember the last time I saw a postmark, especially one that was legible. There is either a pre-printed postage label, or a smudge that cancels a postage stamp. I can see a situation in which a person does not get credit for a payment because the postmark doesn't show when it was sent.

I wanted to post an answer here (the name of the Post Master General) but didn't want this thread to get kicked to "The Attic" !!

As suggested, post an image that includes EXIF data, but as a start, quit shooting at f16 - diffraction caused by small apertures effect sharpness negatively - try f8 maximum instead unless you absolutely must have more DOF and are willing to trade sharpness for it.

"quit shooting at f16 - diffraction caused by small apertures effect sharpness negatively" - TriX

Diffraction is a real thing, people. Look it up!

The only lens I will use above F8 is my Nikkor Micro 55mm f2.8.
