Great photos but your comments belong in the Attic.

Thank you ejrmaine for the compliment. I never mentioned any specific names, party affiliations, etc., so I'm probably safe. I think the attic is for bashing a certain person, political party, or a highly controversial subject, which wasn't the case in my post.

If you want more skunks try putting eggshells out in the lawn. They will come in and rototill your lawn to get to the shells.

No thanks Sheldon. I think we have enough. I just saw 4 more from a different family tonight.

Good capture. You're braver than I am to be enticing skunks by feeding them.

Thanks for looking Jerry. It isn't bravery----it's a 500mm. lens at the max. The Big Sig comes in handy.

I should give this a try because we have skunks, racoons, and woodchucks all roaming around. I always nice ripe fruit hanging around. I don't think that the woodchucks come out at night but the other 2 critters certainly do along with an occasional fisher cat !! I have seen only once a pure white, all white skunk wondering up the driveway at around midnight.

Wow! I'd love to see a Fisher Cat, but I don't think that will happen where I live. I have 11 acres of land, some of it heavily wooded, so my wildlife is probably fairly safe. Don't put out anything to eat if you have any trigger happy close neighbors. No food goes to waste around here. Birds, deer, raccoons, skunks and possums devour every morsel. I had a gray fox pair at the diner for 8 years.

Nice set of images. Something you don't see everyday

Thank you Jack. I had never seen this many before. In the summer months I get to see a lot of things at the critter cafe. I'm hoping to see a black bear some day.

Nice set. Looks like he was more worried about you taking his picture than the other dinner guests.

Thank you. The raccoons are are a lot more timid than the skunks. Maybe the skunks have something the raccoons don't have.

Nice photos of your adorable visitors! They seem quite happy with the menu. I love the last one.

I didn't know there were skunks in NC. I didn't think you saw them until you were about half way through VA. Needless to say, I have never seen any around here.

Dodie

Thank you for dropping by Dodie. This is the first time I have seen this many. I think there was 5.

Great captures.

Thank you NMGal. It was almost dark when I shot these. They don't come out to eat when the light is good.
