I’m getting sick and tired of these anti-vaccine folks. They give no thought to who they might infect. My wife’s cousin is an anti-vaccine person. She recently visited her parents for dinner, had Covid (asymptomatic), unknowingly gave it to them, and two weeks later her father died from Covid. He never left his house for over a year.

People need to think beyond themselves.

Unfortunately, people in the last few generations have been taught to think in terms of, "Me first, you next, maybe."

If you like this style of art you should check out the work of Vladimir Kush.

Wow! His paintings are amazing. I got the immediate feeling that Salvador Dali took a trip to Alice's Wonderland, but I like Kush's works better than Dali's. It is always great to see another style of art and REALLY wonder what was going on in the artist's head at the time he/she was focusing on their canvas.

I found these quite creative, from an artistic point of view.

Those were fascinating! I especially loved the sailing ships. Thanks for sharing.

Why do people argue about this topic? If you want one, get it. If you don't, then don’t. That’s all there is to it.

Exactly! I received both Moderna shots as I'd seen several people I know who'd gotten Covid and nearly died. It's been 6 months and they are still recovering with blood clots in their lungs and low to no energy. I think I'd rather have the second shot's, second day symptoms of a slight achy feeling and a fever, which Tylenol took care of within an hour, than to get Covid. People have reactions to many things around us that do not affect the majority of people, like peanuts, shellfish, cats, dogs, bee venom, dust, enteric coatings on medication, penicillin and other life saving drugs. When vaccinating millions of people, there are bound to be some who will have an adverse reaction. Having lived through the polio pandemic back in the late '40s and '50s, and being grateful for Jonas Salk's dedication to finding a way to eradicate polio, I have seen where mass inoculations made a horrible disease nearly extinct. AND the schools gave out the polio drops and shots back then. There was no choice.

Interesting article about a man who saved pennies for 45 yrs.

I wonder how many of those pennies were valuable as collectibles?

I'll save you the read to find out how many.
$5,136.14 or 513,614 pennies. Amazing

Hard to believe that there are people out there gullible enough to fall for something as transparent as that. Makes you wonder how they got this far in life?

*ahem* This makes no sense if you really think about it. Kill before one kills you. Pushing this to an extreme.

I think you deliberately missed the spirit of the quote. I think it's pretty simple in that in its broad interpretation it pretty much covers all 10 Commandments.

"The problem with morality is that it is always someone else's"

Sounds wise but, is it?

We are raised within a society that gives us a set of parameters. This influences all our lives without question. The dilemma resides on how we accept it, modify it or reject it.

We always react to someone else's morale, but we do make our own. In that we are 'free' to the extent that we make our own decisions to accept or refuse that morality. Still, considering that we are influenced anyway, where is our true freedom?

I have no answer to questions like this. I just keep turning them in my head to understand better and possibly offer an answer.

I have none. (It was true in 2010, it is still true 11 years later)
"Le probleme avec la morale c'est que c'est t... (show quote)

My Dad summed it up, from the time I could comprehend, with the Golden Rule. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." It still works.

I watch pretty much the same channels you do and most (if not all) of them are on the cheapest package offered by Dish. I think it's $65 per month.

I used DISH when I lived in the mountains in VT and the signal came through really well even in the worst rain or snow storms. As long as you have a clear shot of the satellite with no tree branch interference, DISH will do well.
