One trivial suggestion, in west culture we read from left to right so a horizontal flip in my opinion would be useful. Why? well we would view a field searching for a message and wow there it is the hill, thus end our viewing with a mystery. In contrast starting with the mystery then viewing a bunch of no message field leaves us with emptiness.
I was intrigued bye the idea of flipping horizontally. So I dumped it in Lightroom and tried it. For me... it didn't work. But I thought that if I could flip just the sky and clouds... so the wide part of the clouds were on the same side as "what's over the hill"... it might. But I don't know how to do that.
