Just to add an interesting fact (to me, at least,) the red is not pure red, nor is the green pure green. Both have been altered to compensate for the most common type of color blindness: red-green.

How did you get all these images with no cell phones in them? Great set, by the way.

Cell phones aren't waterproof

... that encompassed five days, Friday through Tuesday morning. My Sony is weather resistant, but not waterproof, so I did not shoot in the worst of it.
In spite of the gloom, I found lots of color, or interest, or both.
The first seven were taken near my apartment, but not necessarily on the same day. The last three were taken elsewhere in the city.
Mostly, I looked for color, but also liked reflections.

The first three images are while it was raining earlier this morning.
Normally, when I shoot on the street, I try to avoid the longer focal lengths.
But these first two I would have missed if I had taken the time to get up a little closer and more personal.
The third image was up close. I took this fellow also at the street market last Saturday morning. He wanders, but I don't think he is homeless.
Incidentally, I don't know if he was reaching for cash or a credit card.

Another nice profile of a NYC day, David. Turbulent morning, but better as the day went on.

Actually, Mike, the turbulence had passed overnight. Those cloouds are to the east of us, with a bad weather moving away. This morning was a taste of early fall.

They are all pretty much self-explanatory.

Here in NYC, we have had several days of a forever approaching cold front with many periods of rain. Last night there were flooding thunderstorms, and tomorrow morning we expect the same. But today we have a break. The sunrise produced a golden light when not obscured by clouds. The two ramp shots demonstrate that.
New York City subways can be dangerous at times, but most often situational awareness is enough to offer good protection. Personally, I avoid subways only at night. Images four and five show a lack of that awareness. My opinion only, but these ladies should be more vigilant.
Image 6 depicts a serious problem we have here regarding immigrants.
They have been welcomed and provided for, which is straining the NYC budget severely. This young mother with her baby is trying her best; she goes from car to car with a tray full of boxed crackers and candy to sell. They want to work, but permits can take as much as six months.
The penultimate photo could be a shot of me 30 years ago looking for the plentiful decent-sized smallies in the Delaware river just south of the Scudders falls bridge.
The last shot is a heron who didn't care that I just had a 7 footer drop for a rare birdie on our tough opening par 5.

Had about 45 minutes in between some really heavy rain.
The 1st image is a two shot panogram. It started pouring again about five minutes after I took the last image.
The cold front has been approaching for the last three days. Last night it backed up a little. We have several more days of off again, on again storms. Makes for interesting shooting.

I have added two more images that suggest the angle of view is not a reason for the length of the reflection. All images were taken with a longer than normal focal length, some more than others, but none were taken closer than at least a quarter of a mile, maybe 10 feet asl. The middle image above needs a tiny bit of imagination, but the lack of reflection is just beginning to show at the lower edge.
Wild guess? Water clarity.
To make it easy to compare, I have included the original image once again.
