Could the OP be a second account of an already known member here? One that failed on this very point just recently? Interesting. Anyways...laugh out loud, again.

NOT GUILTY! This time.

And there are those who take themselves far too seriously. I should have not disturbed that.
This site is losing credibility. It is a shame.

I know you think you are the only reader on this forum, God Bless You, but that is not true. This is factual information for people who want facts and may not already have them. Don't read if you already know it. How about that gamma correction, maybe you could elaborate a little more on that for those who don't know.

I never claimed to be the only READER. But I’m definitely in the minority. What’s it to you?

Automobiles usually have life cycles. Something like 5 or 7 years. So if 2017 was the end of the cycle for your car, then yes, the new model starting in 2018 just rendered yours obsolete. Doesn't mean your 2017 doesn't work or isn't still being used; just that it's no longer made and has been supplanted by a newer model.

VHS is an obsolete technology. Doesn't mean the tapes that you have won't play in the machines that may still work. I know we have an old VHS player that plays the old tapes for the grandkids.

I'm so old I even remember people complaining about "planned obsolescence" from companies making new models of something every year.

The D7000 is definitely obsolete; it's no longer made and it's technology is positively ancient compared to the D7100, D7200 and the D5500/D5600. It doesn't mean it won't work for the OP.

What exactly is “fine tuning” auto focus? I have never done this or knew it needed to be done. I am shooting Olympus E-M1, and several Olympus lenses. Can't find anything in the manuals on the topic. Is this something I need to know? Thanks!

In the world of camera lingo this one is pretty self-explanatory. Check an on line manual for say, a Nikon D500 for procedure related to that camera.

Nice shots -- are you being eyed as a potential meal in the second one?

Most likely as a competitor or something very, very strange.
