I never felt DiaPerReview had much objectivity and credibility... although I did enjoy watching Chris Nichols' reviews on YouTube.

Thanks that saves me some typing. I find their reviews tend to be technical with graphs and scientific measurements. What I want to know is how it works in the real world.

Several days ago photoshop had an update. At the same time Microsoft also had an update. This led to an issue I have not seen with the photoshop platform. Please know that prior to all of this I was using the program for a job that I had just completed with no problems.

The problem is when I open an image the screen only shows a flashing white screen. Has anyone had this happen to them? and if so where you able to correct it?

BTW, I had also updated my drivers for the Video board for their latest updates. But also know the white flashing screen had manifested itself before that and I was hopping that would solve the problem.

I even went to the extreme of uninstalling Photoshop and re-installing, with no result.

One last thing, Lightroom is working perfectly as well as all my other programs. Photoshop support was not a help, yet!

Any help would be appreciated.

Here is an update to the problem. I have deleted the new version and installed the previous version and it is working normally??? it also indicates an update is available... For now I have to do some work and am tired of messing with this. I have spent two days truing to figure this out...

Bob this morning I got another update from Adobe. It said it was to fix some bugs. Personally I have not had the problem, but i am thinking this new update might be a fix to your problem/

Was it an L lens?? I think all L lenses come with a hood. If not, I'd buy that generic hood.

It is not an L series lens and will not come with a hood

I didn't get a lens hood with my Tamron 150-600mm G2.
I think Canon is an excellent company with the best customer service ever

That's funny I did get the hood with mine. I know you only get a lens hood for the L series Canon lens. OEM lens hoods are way overpriced from any company. There are inexpensive ones available for just about any lens.

Two questions:

You mentioned a calibrated monitor (How?), but have you also downloaded the correct ICC profile for your paper, and do you soft proof?

Is it possible that both your PP application and your OS are both managing your printer. (should be just your Post processing Ap with the correct ICC profile downloaded and soft proofing enabled).

He did mention he used the profiles

I agree UPS or USPS shipping is better for most parts of the woods, B&H should have stuck to that. Your example is why I said no dealer is perfect. Just like you, for me either Adorama or B&H is top-rated for prices and inventory.

My mom and pop favorite, Allen's Camera, still ships with UPS and they will ask me at time of sale if I want my shipment to require a signature on delivery. I prefer to do that for expensive gear. Not having a porch pirate take my expensive gear, LOL.

Cheers and best to you.

Just not my experience with Adorama after decades of shopping with them. I will continue to shop with them.

B&H has pissed me off a few times over the decades, and some UHHers have complained about B&H in this forum, but I will still shop with them.

Everyone and every business has a bad day and/or has an employee having a bad day. When that happens, I just go up the ladder and things get taken care of. Maybe they treat pros better than hobbyists, but they shouldn't.

My fav mom and pop dealer, Allen's Camera, treats hobbyists and pros equally well.

It is your decision not to shop at Adorama. They will continue to do just fine serving thousands of other satisfied shoppers.

Cheers and best to you.

I Have great service From Adorama and B&H Either store is rated top with me. The only problem I have is with B&H's shipping they currently are using FedEx and in my part of the woods FedEx could care less when you get your package or even where they drop it off at. I asked B&H to ship something UPS or USPS and I would pay the difference. To my surprise B&H didn't charge me extra. Then again they Shipped it FedEx. If it hadn't been a couple of grand for a lens I really wouldn't care but I cannot afford to lose that much money. Just try to get your money back from a shipping company without an attorney some time. Usually the shipper will refund the money to you. I just don'r want or need the hassel

I rarely buy from B&H anymore because they use Fedex. Adorama uses UPS, my choice.

Thanks, Dave. I'm 5'9", so probably not tall enough to bike with this camera and lens attached to my chest. I do remember seeing something quite a while ago that was kinda like a sleeve that you put the lens into and carry the camera in front of you. That's not what you're talking about, is it Dave?

No it isn't. This is more like a harness that goes over the shoulders and the camers and lens are hooked to your chest. I am 5'9" also. https://www.cottoncarrier.com/

Don't know about you but I consider a lens in a bag as freight in transit. When I use my "Big Whites" I always remove unwanted baggage as the lens is heavy enough. I imagine someone riding their bike and holding their camera and I smile.

Yep a bag for the lens is used for shipping. When I am in the field and am no using my tripod or monopod I carry it on my chest attached to the camera using a Cotton Carrier. It also comes in great when riding my mountain bike.

I shopped B&H in store and online when I lived on Long Island. Online orders took 2-3 days.
I moved to Delaware and orders were delivered next day via UPS.
They switched from UPS to FedEX and orders took from now to whenever. The problem is FedEx.
Now I use Amazon and some orders are received same day, others next day, sometimes an extra day.

The best service I ever got was from a store in London, England. I called them from work on a Monday morning. The light meter was on my front porch the next day. I thought they dropped shipped it, but the tracking showed it went from Heathrow, to North Carolina, to my house on LI in less than 48 hours.

I have the same problem with B&H. Great store but they now ship with FedUp and it seems like FedUp delivers whenever they feel like it. Even the Postal Service is better.

That’s really stupid of Nikon. They make the equipment but won’t fix it because it’s for another part of the world. I just hope I never need to get something fixed if I have gray market equipment. Do you know how I can I find out if my equipment is gray market.

That is exactly why I shoot Canon now. Years ago I was in another country and had a warranty problem with a new camera I took with me. Nikon would not repair it because it was from the U.S.. I bought another Cheap pocket camera and when I got back to the states switched over to Canon. I never looked back

Not sure why people are telling you horror stories about Win 11. I had zero problems installing it and my PC runs fine, and it appears to be faster, at least starting up anyway. I've not encountered any problems with older software running and quite frankly, I like Win 11. I had no problems transitioning from Win 10 to 11, none.

The same here Win11 works fine. There might have been some problems when it first came out but now there should be no problems. When I upgraded mine it even got rid of some strange quirks that Win10 had. Nobody could put a finger on those things. NOw they are just a memory in the past
