Great shot Gregory! Beautiful color. Love how the eye is right between the pine needles. I’ve ruined so many shots because the eye is hidden. Terri

Mike, I’m always surprise at photos people can get with a cell phone. Love the sun flower! Our wildfires have been horrible this year. Scary. Terri

This perfect male came to visit this morning and then by this afternoon, I had three fluttering around in my garden... I'm sure all my grand-flutters!!!

This morning a female emerged....
I now have 13 in chrysalis and 1 in J-hook... by the morning will have transformed into a chrysalis.
Many little ones and eggs to follow.... and everyday I'm finding eggs and tiny little cats wanting to come into the house to be safe!!!

This picture was right after she emerged... and this chrysalis gave me heart failure.... I had to move it and the silk did not attach.... it fell, not far, but twice... I had to think quickly in order to hang her.... used the hot glue gun and dental floss to safely hang her up.... thankfully she was perfect!!

Wow, what a story you are giving us with your photos! I highly doubt very many soon to be butterflies have been saved by a hot glue gun and dental floss. You deserve a pat on the back. Maybe you should be called Madam Butterfly. Have a great day. Alan and I are heading out to the desert for our annual Hell Hole Weekend. We do it every year for Alan’s b-day. Lots of family, friends, wine, margaritas, a pool and nice resort. It’s hot but lots of fun. Started out as a joke but now we do it every year. Terri

Excellent set! Beautiful backgrounds support the theme of bears doing what they should be doing in the fall. Really fine work, thanks for posting.

Super set! Amazing how all that meat can sit on a branch and not break it!

Thank you Einreb92. Mom was even bigger and was sitting in a tree across from her cubs. Terri

Well done Terri.
I wouldn't have thought the tree would support the weight of the bear.

Thank you Roger! We were surprised also. Terri
