5 mp is too large??? Hey, I've invested beeellions to get more resolutionness.
Seriously, why would you want to reduce an image to 1.3 megapixels? My first digital camera shot 1.1 mp and it was OK for emails and 4 X 6 prints. Reverting to that size would be a 20 year step backwards!

While we're at it, why is everyone concerned about 60 foot trees? In Oregon those are called "kindling". In "undeveloped forest land", you need to stay above 200 feet. :)

You may have a greater problem. First you need to program the flight path because at about 3 miles out, you'll lose contact (and control). In sport mode at maximum speed of 44 mph, your battery will be drained at 21.5 miles, with 28 minutes flight time. Then I assume you want it to return? Enjoy the hike.
