Thank you! Definite consensus to use Lightroom, a Christmas gift from my daughter, so we will both be happy! I have started with some youtube tutorials and am much better organized already. Question, re importing RAW images from Canon, can that be done directly into lightroom from memory card?

I'd go with Lightroom with Photoshop CS6 for any edits that you can't do in Lightroom...
Thanks ScottÂ…would you use lightroom as the initial program to import images from camera?
I have "accumulated" a variety of programs from my children as gifts or self purchase but don't know which should be the basis for my work flow (total amateur photographer with Mac, Canon 5d II, SL1, T4i and L lenses, Canon pro 9000 II printer, etc). These programs seem to be redundantÂ…advice re integration of these?:
Photoshop Elements 11, Lightroom 5, Aperture 3.4.5, Photoshop CS6, Digital Photo Prof 3.11.31, and of course iPhoto 8.1.2
Thanks
Paul
Total amateur with Canon equipment and Mac. Would appreciate a simplified "here is a way to do it" scheme to conveniently get my raw plus JPG large images from camera/card into my computer for efficient review. I have PS 11 elements, PS C6 and C5, Digital Photo Professional Batch, EOS utility,Aperture 3.4.5, iPhoto, Preview. Currently I am just stumbling around! Thanks!
lovely composition. To my eye it is "too sharpened" and has a somewhat unnatural digital look. My personal taste for b&w is a softer more vintage feel.
