In the United States, we don't need someone in the government giving us permission to own semi-auto handguns and rifles. Unlike most countries, we in the U.S. have a Constitution that grants us the right to own and bear firearms. It is tragic when someone goes on a rampage and kills innocent people, no matter what tool or device they choose to use. However, I don't believe that I or other Americans should be denied my right to own a firearm based upon what another individual does. Take care.

NO, Chris died because another human decided to murder him. The NRA did not kill Chris. Politicians did not kill chris. Chris was killed by a human being. And to think that I had permission to do this from the federal government. After the background check I went through, you would think they would have found out I was crazy. Doesn't it worry you, DOS, that there are law enforcement all around you every day carrying weapons? Many eat in restaurants every day with you and you don't even know they have a weapon under their shirt or suit jacket? You must be a terrified, insecure, petty little person going through life terrified of the crazies out there. Also, the vast majority of CCW holders are honorable, upright citizens who wish to be left alone and go about their daily lives in a moral fashion. They don't go crazy and shoot others. Nothing like that ever happened. The only incident I can recall was a man attacked his wife, who worked at a bakery at a Wal-Mart, with a knife.
