I'm sure you have heard the phrase, "If you tell the truth, you don't have a good memory."

You gave the range as between $400 and $600 so I just picked $500.

Earlier you posted, "EYE am the original owner of that View Camera, Scotty, and the lens I bought for it. I take good care of my cameras - both the View Cameras, and the MF camera, and all of my 35mm SLRs - as well as my dozen DSLRs and all eleven of my bridge cameras, too." That makes two view cameras, one MF camera, at least two SLRs, a dozen DSLRs and eleven bridge cameras. That's more than two dozen.

Not to mention, "Not yet, you haven't … and it doesn't matter if you do - I'll just stop responding." But you are still responding.

So I guess you don't have a good memory and you are not telling the truth.

Not telling the truth - about WHAT, Scotty?

Okay, so - take $500 as an average per DSLR … that's six grand for the dozen - bought between 2010 and 2015 (the D7100 was the last) … bridges are a dime a dozen … say $150-$300 apiece. You don't seriously count THEM - do you? … The rest - the SLRs and Pentax 6x7 and View Cameras - I've had for donkey's years … they're really not worth anything, anymore. I don't get how you condense everything and wind up calling me a liar, Scotty. I'll be 72 on Tuesday … been around a long time. And, in spite of that, I have an excellent memory. Look, man … I was a Pro photographer for 40 years!!! … Even had my own studio. And - no, I haven't fallen on hard times … I have just retired, and now live on my Social Security, alone - ok?

Here's another view of the Dock at Squantz Pond State Park, in New Fairfield, CT …

In this one - there's even a Kayak floating by … Dock, Boat, Water, Bay …. all it takes!!!

Follow-up pic - shows the sign at the entrance to Squantz Pond State Park - boat launch parking area.

Sorry to hear that you have fallen on hard times and can't afford a decent internet connection. Never mind, just follow the rest of my advice and you should find it easier to post images. Surely you can afford the free software to let you change the resolution and save a JPEG to at least 85% compression.

At about $500 each you have more than $12,000 invested in bodies and a lot more in lenses and other stuff. Although it's worth only a fraction of that today, at least it should still work. You ought to be able to produce reasonably decent images now.

Or do you have some other excuses you would like to use?

Neat math you're using there. By my calculations, $400 x 12 = comes to LESS than $5000 for ALL of them! And THAT was spread out over FIVE years!!!! ...

EXCUSES??? ... for WHAT?

You're the one who needs to make up excuses - for the reasons you're just here - ANTAGONIZING people!

Ooooh, Goody!!! … Is that the Opera House I can just barely see, to the left rear?

Here's another harbor, of sorts … this is Sail Harbour … a very exclusive community on Candlewood Lake - way north … almost into Sherman … not as private as Candlewood Isle - but, pretty upscale …

Again - shot with my Fuji Finepix HS-50EXR - a half-inch bridge camera (24-1000) …

Bottom one - shot from that same parking area ...

No. See the fishing rods?

No, Richard … all I noticed was the fishing NET …

Now - rather than a DOCK pic … as this one, surely is … here's a Bay pic …

I believe THIS one - is between Candlewood Isle, and Candlewood Lake Park … looking south …

… again - taken with my trusty Fuji Finepix HS-50EXR, with its 1/2" sensor … not bad, eh?

I didn't trash anything on this thread.

Fiber optic costs me only about $50/month but you can get a slower speed for about $30/month - a dollar a day.

And I've never spent more than $2000 on a camera. Even my Hasselblads didn't cost that much new about 30 years ago. I got the Df used from KEH.

Not yet, you haven't … and it doesn't matter if you do - I'll just stop responding. I won't abandon THIS one, as you made me do, with the LAST one. … Whatever it costs, Scotty … it's too much. I can't pay ANY monthly bill - so, that's OUT! … And, most of the cameras I've bought were around the $400-$600 mark, and that was all in the past, now (all before 2014) … I'll never be able to buy another, so, that's that! ….

It's hard to believe you are so strapped for cash you can't afford an entry level cable connection.

Sorry to hear that you have fallen on hard times after amassing such a huge collection of photo equipment.

You probably should have saved for your retirement but then that would have meant you could manage your priorities.

The rest of us seem to have been able to manage our priorities most of our lives. We're not as dumb as you think.

Yes, well … them's the breaks, huh, Scotty?

"Amass such a HUGE collection of photo equipment" - huh? ... Yes, well, one of these days, I just MIGHT be able to buy new SD cards for them, too!!! ... But, most certainly NOT - if I had to pay $100pm to a cable provider. My TV is FREE!!! ... Hey, Scotty - at least - I'm sensible enough not to drop $5000 cash for a single camera!!! .... And YOU talk about keeing it civil? ... AFTER trashing every other Topic I've posted?

Boats or ships use all of the ones I post. I don't have any amusement pier pics.

Bushfires are no joke here, and are sometimes lethal.

A lot more to come.

NO FIRE is fun, Richard … not only can they be lethal, but, can leave you with burn scars for LIFE!!

Piers - like the one in Brighton, Sussex, England - serve only as places for seafood restaurants, etc.

I have a lot more to come, too … we'll match - pic for pic - how's that?

Interesting, Richard … so, now, we've gone from a Dock, to a Pier, to a Wharf!!!!

Fire Danger, huh? … Does it happen more on a Monday, than on a Wednesday, or on a Friday?

You come up with such really intriguing pics, Richard ….

Now - getting us back on track (somewhat) here are some boats "docked" (moored, really) in open water.

This was shot at Candlewood Lake Park - very near Candlewood Isle - here, in New Fairfield, CT … with my trusty Fuji Finepix HS-50EXR - which uses a half-inch sensor … not much diff from my DSLR pics - eh?

I sense, perhaps - you probably have a boat - much like THIS one - right?

Ahhhh!!! … San Diego, too … finally … on FIRM ground!!!! …

Like this one, Dan … has a sense of utter expanse, plus … all the bodies … like ants, burrowing under …
