I have both Luminar 2018 and Luminar 3. Really like using 2018, Luminar 3 is still a little buggy. Luminar 2018 for Windows was a little buggy at first but was corrected with several updates rather quickly. I'm sure this will be the same for Luminar 3. Windows users are a little behind Mac users because Luminar was first developed for the Mac platform. All in all I think it is great software and I use it as a stand alone program. Be sure to check out the tutorials on the Skylum website.

Probably, one for photographing and one (pocket size) for a backup when/if the primary fails. Other than that, I need to learn the primary camera first.

My digital kit has two bodies, 7D&7DII with an assortment of lenses. Also carry a Rollie 35 S with Tri-x 400 for street photography. I've been using this setup since my film days and it still serves me well. Also have an assortment of MF and LF film cameras I use on occasion.

Sadly as of now he isn't in The Rock Hall of Fame. He should be there on the strength of his unique vocals alone. The "Mad dog" is missed by all his fans. Anyone here ever see Cocker and Belushi duet on SNL. It's one of his best performances IMHO!

My Mom had a cockapoo years ago with the same problem. The vet suggested adding fish oil capsules to the dogs diet which worked very well.
I once had a Lab that had major surgery on his leg, the vet gave me Garricks bitter apple to stop him from tearing of the bandages. It didn't work and he really seemed to like the taste, after about a week of changing bandages the vet told me to put Vic's Vaper Rub on the bandages, no more chewing and a lot less expensive.

Excellent company, I've used them for all of my computer builds. Prompt service and everything is well packaged. Never a problem with anything I bought from them.

OK, so I apologize if I violated convention by not replying immediately. I was asking a question not quizzing anyone. I usually get many responses to my questions over several days so wanted to wait until I've seen all of them. I also don't necessarily want to add to everyone's email load by just replying with just thanks. I would hope that that is somewhat assumed. So in advance I do find this forum very useful and have a great respect for all of you and your expertise, and thank you for your past and future responses.

My "guru" credentials are not in photography. I was in the data storage business for 40+ years designing and managing the design of HD & SSD drives.

Good to know, am just now getting to the task of establishing a decent backup system for my photos and music collection. When the time comes I hope to bend your ear.
By the way it took me awhile to get used to digital EC after coming from 50 yrs of film work. In those days we had match needle meters and it was easy to go +/- using fstop or shutter speed according to the situation as the ASA of the film you were using was constant, not like digital where the ISO (ASA) is variable. Seems simple but took me a long time to grasp it.

I have dealt with Robert's and Hunt's for years. Both good companies.

Monopod with a quick release ball head in case I need to go hand held. my longest lens as of now is a Canon 70-300mmII. I'm saving for a 150-600mm Tamron for which I will probably go with a tripod and the Manfrotto gimbal head I already have.

Love your yard. Wouldn't have a neighbor selling a house by chance?

Very interesting, reminds me of doing light shows for bands in the 80's and 90's.

Had cataract surgery in both eyes about 12 years ago, I was only 50 yrs old. 20/25 vision in one eye and 20/20 in the other. Night driving vision was bad before surgery but great afterword, but the newer bluish headlights gave me fits. Got a pair of good shooting glasses that are pretty much the same thing as those being sold for night time driving on TV. They work great, plus I broke my old shooting glasses so now the one pair does double duty. Like most people I get my readers from the drugstore, a lot cheaper than prescription glasses.

I have a 7 and a 7D II. When I was looking for a wide zoom I put in a lot of research and ended up with a Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 and am very pleased with it.

I'm wondering if they have a discount for AARP members. Might try that when it comes time to renew my subscription.

One year I hit three deer with my brand new Mazda pickup, all were head shots and all were great with mashed potatoes and green beans. Sold the pickup, thought it was cursed.
